President Dr Suresh Advani, a pioneer in globalizing Indian Management Education
Dr Advani is currently the President of Mody University. He is widely respected as one of the pioneers in globalizing Indian Management Education. Having acquired a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology Degree from IIT, Bombay in 1972, and Management qualifications from Mumbai University in 1978, he has specialized in the areas of Operations Management and Project Management. He has also developed expertise in Turnaround Management. He has acquired his PhD from IIT Bombay on Globalisation of Higher Education in India.
After over 32 years in the corporate world, during which he successfully turned around five loss-making companies into profitable ventures, he decided to move to Academics so that students could benefit from his wide range of experience. He joined S P Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR) in 2004 as Professor in the Area of Operations Management & Project Management. He was also responsible for setting up the S P Jain Centre of Management Campuses in Dubai & Singapore and had subsequently headed the Singapore Campus. Dr. DK Agrawal is a well known Professor of Marketing and Supply Chain Management. He has been a university topper of MBA specialized in Marketing, and a Ph.D. in the area of cross discipline integration of Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Strategy and Information Technology. He joined IIM Shillong in June 2008 as a founding faculty member.
