Thousands of vacant seats are available to be filled up in various Maharashtra B-schools

Whether you are All India or Maharashtra state candidate, your admission chances to MBA/MMS 2017-19 batch in 400 Maharashtra B-schools are still alive. Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra has today on June 28 has displayed the Vacant Seats for CAP Round-II for Maharashtra State as well as All India candidates. Thousands of vacant seats are available to be filled up in various Maharashtra B-schools.

Releasing the notification No. CETCELL/MBA-Admission Notice/2017/541 dated 16/06/2017 for admission to MBA/MMS for the 2017-19 batch DTE Maharashtra has shared the schedule of Online Option Form Submission, Confirmation and Acceptance of Seat at Admission Reporting Center(ARC) for the seats lying vacant as under:

Online Submission & Confirmation of Option Form of CAP Round-II (Through candidates Login by himself/herself through the website) June 29, 2017 to July 1, 2017 upto 5PM
Display of Provisional Allotment of CAP Round-II July 3, 2017 at 5P.M.
Reporting to the ARC as per Allotment of CAP Round II July 4, 2017 to July 7, 2017 up to 5 p.m. 
Commencement of Classes and Cut Off Date for Admissions August 1, 2017

The seats are available almost in all the B-schools. If your name appeared in the Final Merit List published by the DTE for Online Submission & Confirmation of Option Form by candidates aspiring for admissions to MBA/MMS 2017-19 batch in the Government, Government Aided, University Managed Institutes, University Managed Departments and Unaided private professional educational institutes, you should check your option and grab the opportunity after reading carefully the Rules/Regulations & Information.

Important instructions for MBA/MMS admission seekers

  • The List of the institutes identified as Admission reporting Centers (ARC) is available on the website.
  • The candidate can report to any nearest ARC.
  • Once the candidate confirms his/her Option form online through his/her Login for the respective admission rounds, Candidate will not be allowed to change/cancel the option/preference submitted under any circumstances.
  • A Candidate who has been allotted a seat shall download the “Provisional Seat Allotment Letter”
  • The Seat Acceptance Fee shall be Rs. 5,000/- for Candidates of General Category, VJ/DT, NT, SBC/OBC Category and Rs. 1,000/- for SC, ST Category Candidates.
  • The candidate has to pay the Seat Acceptance Fee during first reporting only. This fee shall be transferred to the institution after deducting Rs. 1,000/- towards processing fee.
  • The Seat Acceptance fees is to be paid at ARC through ONLINE MODE only.
  • Allotted Seat will be cancelled if, at any time, any of the documents or certificates is found to be invalid or fraudulent and/or the Candidate does not meet the eligibility norms.
  • Candidates who want to reject the allocated seat can do so by not remitting the seat acceptance fee at the Reporting Centre in scheduled period
  • For cancellation of admission before reporting to the institution, the candidate shall apply to the Admission Reporting Center to which he has paid Seat Acceptance Fee
  • Candidate can avail the facilities for filling & confirmation of online option/preference form free of cost at Facilitation Centre (FC).
  • All ARC’s shall remain open on all days including holidays and Sundays for confirmation of admission during the schedule.

All India candidates: Admissions available against CAP Vacancies
Since not all the MBA admissions in Maharashtra B-schools could be finalised through CAP round, there are still many vacant seats in MBA colleges. DTE Maharashtra clarifies ‘The seats remaining vacant after offering admissions to the candidates through CAP due to non reporting and cancellation after CAP Round-III will be filled in by the managements of the respective institutes. Admission authorities of the respective institutes will have to process these admissions strictly as per the guidelines given in Annexure -III.’

Check for admission options
Out of 55000+ seats in Maharashtra B-schools, more than 25% seats are still lying vacant in MBA/MMS/PGDM programmes after completion of all the CAP rounds 2017 by DTE Maharashtra. You still have good options to take admission in the preferred B school as now the B schools could offer admission on their own to the applicants as per DTE Maharashtra norms.  

There are still good options open to the candidates in Maharashtra B schools including MET IOM, ITM, IESMCRC, DSIMS, ASM-IPS, ASMs IBMR, MITSoB, KBS, VESIMS, UBS, IIMS, BITM, BIMM, BIMHRD, ISB&M among others where candidates can apply direct to get admission.
