TAPMI celebrates Convocation 2018 with Bhaskar Bhat – MD, Titan Company as Chief Guest; confers PGDM to 450 students

TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI) Manipal celebrated its 32nd Annual Convocation on April 9, 2018 at KMC Greens, Manipal. The chief guest on the occasion was Shri Bhaskar Bhat – MD, Titan Company Limited and member of the Governing Council. Dr H S Ballal, Pro chancellor Manipal Academy of Higher Education declared the convocation open. Dr H Shantaram was also present on the occasion.

Over 450 graduating students from the three PG Diploma streams: Post Graduate Diploma in Management, PGDM in Banking & Financial Service & PGDM in Healthcare Management were conferred their Diplomas at the Convocation ceremony.  

Delivering the convocation address, the Chief Guest Bhaskar Bhat – MD Titan Company Limited said, “People who put institution ahead of themselves have always progressed faster than the ones who put themselves ahead. So, always live your life as a responsible citizen, be self aware and lead a life of integrity.”

Congratulating the graduating students, Prof. Madhu Veeraraghavan Director of TAPMI speaking on the occasion said, "TAPMI has always lived up to the motto of producing industry-relevant graduates than just any business graduates. For all of you, the next 3-5 years is crucial. Because that is when you face numerous challenges and go through self discovery.

TAPMI has always given importance to research in the academia and from this year the institute has introduced Dean's Honor Awards for Academic Excellence and Research Awards for the faculty members.

TAPMI has reported 100% placement in the 30^th consecutive placement season where many students from PGDM (Healthcare), PGDM (BKFS) and PGDM (General) had global offers in hand before graduating. The average CTC across the three courses was INR 10.6 lakh per year with the highest CTC on offer being INR 23.8 lakh per year. This season’s placement also witnessed 40% new companies participating in the placement process.

This year, new PGDM programs in Human Resources (HR) are being launched by the institute and are awaiting regulatory approval.
