India’s definitive MBA educators’ conference and biggest management conclave the 9thIndian Management Conclave - IMC 2018, organized by MBAUniverse.com and hosted by IIM Bangalore has taken a grand start today on August 3, 2018 on the theme 'MBA Pedagogy for 21st Century Business Schools’. IMC 2018 hosted by IIM Bangalore is a two day event on August 3 and 4, 2018 and will conclude with the presentation of IMC Awards and Distinguished Alumni Awards followed by valedictory address from Mr Ravi Venkatesan,Chairman, Bank of Baroda .
IMC 2018 has been inaugurated with the Inaugural Address by Dr G. Raghuram, Director, IIM Bangalore, key note address by Ms Rekha M. Menon, Chairman and Senior Managing Director, Accenture in India. International Keynote Address delivered by Dr Jikyeong Kang, President & Dean, Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Manila, Special Address by Mr Jeff Maggioncalda, CEO, Coursera (Video Address) mark the beginning of IMC 2018 at IIM Bangalore. Welcome address was delivered by Mr Amit Agnihotri, Convener, Indian Management Conclave and Chairman MBAUniverse.com.
The 2 days of IMC 2018 on Aug 3 and 4 will see sessions, discussions, Directors’ Round Table on issues and vision on future MBA education, addresses by AICTE Chairman, Policy makers, Deans and Directors of IIMs, ISB, PGDM B-schools, CXOs and business leaders from Corporate, sharing the policy guidelines, success stories, changing business scenario calling for changes in the B-school pedagogy to make the students more industry ready.

There will be 3 plenary sessions on emerging issues faced by management education in India. The discussion in detail will be held during the conclave on ‘Industry 4.0: Future of Work &desired competencies from MBAs’; ‘Fostering Creativity & Innovation in MBA Program: Pedagogical Approaches’; ‘Leveraging Technology in Education Delivery’
Directors Roundtable is scheduled on August 4, 2018 on the Topic ‘Developing a Framework for 21st Century Indian Business School’. Directors from well-known B-schools will share their views and learnings on how to develop a quality framework for management education in India.
The session will witness Special Address from Dr Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE (Video Address).
In addition to two days of thought-provoking discussions on conference theme, IMC 2018 will also host two prestigious awards: IMC Awards for Excellence in Management Education and
IMC Distinguished Alumni Awards.

Initiated in 2015 to mark completion of 5 years of IMC platform, IMC Distinguished Alumni Awards are presented to top CEOs who completed their MBA from an Indian business school and are now making a global and national impact. 2015 Awards recipients were IRMA MBA Shri R S Sodhi, MD of GCMMF (AMUL) and NMIMS MBA Ms Avani Davda, Former MD & CEO, Tata Starbucks India.
