Indus Business Academy (IBA) Bengaluru and Higher Education Forum (HEF) are organizing conference on ‘Management & Leadership in Disruptive Times’ on December 7, 2018 at IBA campus. This conference is in the form of a Round Table, therefore the number of participants is restricted to 25 only. Although there is no registration fee for the conference but the prior registration must be done before November 25, 2018. The current theme of the 2nd Bengaluru conference titled as “Management and Leadership in Disruptive Times” is derived from the back ground that current times are disruptive in terms both theories & paradigms as well as practical applications.

The supersonic speed of technology is adding to the velocity of the process of disruption. What was relevant yesterday is definitely not applicable today; but no one knows what will be relevant tomorrow. Building the narrative for future is extremely difficult. In this context of volatile and unpredictable environment, the higher educational Institutions (HEIs) are facing tremendous challenges. Since the skills and competencies of tomorrow are totally unpredictable, educational institutions are fast losing their relevance in terms of being contemporary and relevant. No doubt, the educational institutions are expected to create men and women with character; but they are also equally vested with the responsibility of creating men and women who can shoulder responsibilities of this unpredictable world in whatever positions they are in.

Thus, on this background, the 2nd Bengaluru conference will look into specifically the role of the higher educational institutions to create the leaders and managers who would be able to shoulder responsibilities in these disruptive times. It will also discuss various strategies and processes the HEIs should adopt to remain relevant in this fast changing world.

Indus Business Academy (IBA), Bengaluru is one of the top MBA colleges in Bengaluru, and one among the only 27 out of more than 5000 colleges in India to receive an International Accreditation by IACBE. Media publications like Competition Success Review (CSR), Business India, Dainik Bhaskar among others have consistently ranked IBA amongst the top B-Schools in Bengaluru and India.

Higher Education Forum (HEF) is promoted as an advocacy group of individuals concerned with issues and challenges in the landscape of higher education in India. The individuals include representatives from all stakeholders of higher education including academicians and corporate. The sole objective of the forum is to help creation of a world class higher education system in India. This encompasses creation of appropriate structure, strategies, policies, processes and development of institutions. The forum was launched as an asynchronous learning forum through a Google group in the late 2009, and today has emerged as one of the largest such online communities of higher education professionals with more than 4,000 members. The forum is also registered as a Public Charitable Trust. Besides Head Quarters at Navi Mumbai, the forum operates through branches at Pune, Gujarat, Kolkata, and Bengaluru.
