• After completing the first year of studies, students at IIM Udaipur undertake a mandatory internship- either an experiential learning opportunity at a company location or an opportunity to develop their own entrepreneurial project.

10. IIM Udaipur Eligibility Criteria 2024

• 10.1 IIM Udaipur Eligibility criteria require that the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration after class 12, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (in case of the candidate belonging to SC/ST/PwD category, the eligibility criterion is relaxed to 45%
• 10.2 One of the most important points in IIM Udaipur Admission Eligibility criteria is that apart from
• a recognized graduate degree, the candidate should appear in CAT 2023 exam and must score minimum prescribed sectional and overall score to be considered for shortlisting
• 10.3 If the candidate is awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence to determine PGP admission eligibility would be based on the equivalence certified by the institution/university from where the bachelor's degree is obtained. In case the institution/university does not have any scheme for converting the CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by IIM Udaipur by dividing the obtained CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant by 100 to confirm the Admission eligibility of the candidate. 
• 10.4 A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results is also eligible to apply for IIM Udaipur Admission 2024. Such a candidate must produce a certificate from the principal/head of the department/ registrar/director of the institution/university certifying that the candidate is currently in the final year or is awaiting final results and has obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case of the candidate belonging to SC/ST/PwD category) based on latest available grades/marks.
• 10.5 IIM Udaipur Eligibility further clarifies that such a candidate, if selected, will not be eligible for the IIM Udaipur admission unless he/she submits a certificate latest by June 30, 2024 from the principal/head of the department/registrar/director of the institution/university (issued on or before June 30, 2024) stating that they have completed all the requirements (the result may, however, be awaited) for obtaining the bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification on the date of issue of the certificate.
• 10.6 It is mandatory for a final year student, who is provisionally considered eligible by IIM Udaipur and offered admission, to submit the mark-sheet and degree certificate of the final year bachelor's degree examination held on or before June 30, 2023.  The deadline to submit the mark-sheet and the certificate is December 31, 2024. 

11. IIM Udaipur Admission Application Process 2024: How to Apply?
Submission of Application for IIM Udaipur Admission 2024 is a two step process. The first one is to apply for CAT 2023 based on which IIM Udaipur will consider you for next round of admission process and second is to apply separately for IIM-CAP 2024 for IIM Udaipur admission 2024. Let us understand each step:

Step-1: CAT 2024 registration process had started from August 2, 2023. Candidates had to apply for CAT 2023 by the last date of September 21, 2023. Check below the key points in IIM Udaipur admission application process through CAT 2023:

Only the candidates above the minimum cut-offs in the CAT 2023 sectional percentile ranks, the overall percentile rank and obtaining a positive (greater than zero) raw score in all sections of CAT-2023 are considered for shortlisting for CAP 2024 process:

The MBA 2024-26 is the 14^th batch at IIM Udaipur. IIM Udaipur Admission 2024 is a five-stage process

• Stage 1: Shortlist Release for CAP 2024 Round after CAT Result declaration
• Stage-2: Conduct of PA Round comprising Personal Interview (PI). The PA process will be common to IIMs which are participating in the Common Admission Process (CAP) 2024
• Stage-3: The Final Selection List is based on CAT score, CAP Score and other parameters
• Stage-4: Offer for Provisional Admission for the MBA 2024-26 batch
• Stage-5: Reporting for joining the MBA 2024-26 program

Stage-I IIM Udaipur Shortlisting Criteria 2024
IIM Udaipur will shortlist the candidates on the basis of CAT 2024 score for CAP 2024 as under:

• The shortlisting for final selection round in IIM Udaipur Admission Criteria awards maximum weight to CAT 2023 score.
• The candidate must have scored minimum sectional percentile of 73 in each of the three sections of CAT 2023 – Quantitative Aptitude' (QA), ‘Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning' (DILR) and ‘Verbal and Reading Comprehension' (VRC)
• A candidate must have scored minimum overall percentile of 94 in CAT 2023
• If the candidate does not score minimum prescribed percentile in CAT 2023, he/she will not be considered for shortlisting for final selection stage.
• IIM Udaipur’s Admission Committee decides the number of candidates who would be shortlisted for PA round on the basis of criteria prepared for each category
• All the Candidates shortlisted for PA process have to attend PI  round which is a common process for all the CAP participating IIMs

Stage-2: IIM Udaipur Final Admission Selection Process: CAP Round

• All the shortlisted candidates should participate in Personal Appearance (PA) round for admission to IIM Udaipur
• Final Selection Round 2024 for IIM Udaipur Admission consists of Online Personal Interview (PI)
• The final selection PA round for IIM Udaipur Admission will be common for the 10 IIMs who are participating in the Common Admission Process (CAP) 2024.

Stage-3: The Final Selection List based on CAT score, CAP Score and other parameters
The scores obtained by the candidate in PA process of CAP 2024 would be considered for preparing the merit list

• IIM Udaipur selection criteria after final admission round award 60% weight to CAT 2023  Score; 15% weight to Personal Interview(PI); 25% Weight to profile
• Candidates who do not obtain certain minimum scores in the Personal Assessment (PA) will not be considered for the merit list. The minimum scores will be decided by IIM Udaipur at its discretion.

IIM Udaipur Final Selection Criteria Weights for Admission 

Stage-4: Offer for Provisional Admission for the MBA 2024-26 batch
IIM Udaipur will issue provisional admission offer on registered e-mail ID of the selected candidates after generating the final merit list in April last week/May first week 2024. You need to accept the admission offer online and should pay the admission fee by the stipulated date to avoid cancellation of candidature.

Stage-5: Reporting for joining the MBA 2024-26 program
IIM Udaipur will notify and will send the communication to report at the institute to complete the joining formalities. The academic session is likely to commence in the first week of July.

IIM Udaipur Now offers MBA Degree instead of Diploma
After implementation of IIM Act 2017, IIM Udaipur has started awarding MBA degree to its students. The two-year Post-graduate Programme in Management (PGP) at IIM Udaipur is now renamed as Master of Business Administration (MBA). It is a full-time residential course for graduates from all disciplines who wish to choose a career in management. According to IIM Udaipur, “The Program lasts two years over six terms with a compulsory Internship at the end of the 1st year. Students earn an MBA degree.”

15. IIM Udaipur Admission 2024: Step by Step Process
Following steps are included in the IIM Udaipur Admission process:

• Step 1: The candidate must have appeared and scored the minimum required sectional and overall percentile in CAT 2023 to be considered for Shortlisting process for admission at IIM Udaipur. Category wise short-lists of the candidates are prepared for Personal Interview (PI) from among the candidates who have a valid CAT-2023 score, who have applied to the programme and who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the programme of IIM Udaipur.
• Step 2: Shortlisted Candidates have to attend Common Admission Process (CAP) 2024 for the participating IIMs.
• Step 3: After the PI round, admission offers are made by IIM Udaipur to successful candidates. The final selection is based on a diverse set of attributes which includes performance in CAT, performance in PI, academics, work experience, diversity among others. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in Personal Assessment (PA) will not be considered. Category wise merit list will be generated based on weightages awarded to various components.
• Step 4: Final Admission Offer will be made to the candidates in the last week of April/first week of May 2024 on the basis of Final Merit Score and will be available on IIM Udaipur website. 
• Step 5: Candidates receiving admission offer from IIM Udaipur will need to send the acceptance within the stipulated date along with an Offer Acceptance amount of Rs.100,000/-.

There are many young students who wish to appear in CAT and apply for IIM Udaipur admission to pursue MBA but they are in the second year or third year of their bachelor’s degree course and are not eligible this year but can apply for IIM Udaipur admission 2025 through CAT 2024.
