IMI New Delhi has achieved 100% Placement 2019 in December for all its 303 students across three programs. The Average Salary for flagship PGDM program has increased to Rs. 13.01 Lakhs. Highest Salary of Rs. 20.75 Lakhs has been offered by Reliance. A lot of new recruiters have also come onboard helping improve the quality of placements.

IMI New Delhi has achieved 100% Placement 2019 in December for all its 303 students across three programs. The Average Salary for flagship PGDM program has increased to Rs. 13.01 Lakhs. Highest Salary of Rs. 20.75 Lakhs has been offered by Reliance. A lot of new recruiters have also come onboard helping improve the quality of placements. The average salary for PGDM-HRM batch has registered a 20% increase from last year.

Speaking with MBAUniverse.com, Dr Himadri Das, Director General, IMI New Delhi confirmed the development and said, “Yes, we have had outstanding placements this season. The process got completed in December 2018, all metrics have gone up significantly. We have added significantly to the recruiter base. The summer internships led to a 25% increase in PPOs. The quality of placements for top students has gone up appreciably too.”

39% of the batch opted to pursue a career in the BFSI sector. IMI New Delhi saw a surge in the number of opportunities offered in this sector. The Banking sector witnessed prestigious companies offering coveted profiles such as Corporate Banking, Corporate Finance, Equity Research, Credit Rating and Wealth Management to the students.

Consulting, Analytics & Market Research: 21% share in Placement
IMI New Delhi had the privilege of hosting various companies in the Consulting and Market Research business. The batch had 21% students opting for a career in this sector with major recruiters. Profiles were offered by companies such as Bloomberg, Deloitte, EY India, KPMG, Nielsen, EYGDS, Gartner, GEP, Euromonitor International and Bain Capability Centre.

IT/ITES: 16% share in Placement
With 16% of the batch opting for a career in IT/ITES sector, IMI New Delhi witnessed companies offering upgraded profiles in this sector. The major recruiters from IT/ITES sector were Accenture, Capgemini, Infosys, Genpact, Wipro, HCL, Genpact, Infosys BPM, Hughes Systique, RTDS, NIIT Technologies, Mahindra Comviva among others.

FMCG/FMCD/Retail/Healthcare: 11% share in Placement
11% of the batch was offered an opportunity to pursue a career in this sector. The presence of some of the biggest brands in this sector is a testimony to the industry response this year. Profiles were offered by companies such as Asian Paints, Nestle, Reckitt Benckiser, Emami, HUL, Havmor, Piramal Group, Fairtrade LLC, Moolchand, Perfetti Van Melle, Coffee Day Beverages and many other recruiters in this sector.

Manufacturing & Logistics: 9% Share in Placement
9% of the batch was offered an opportunity to pursue a career in the Manufacturing & Logistics Sector.  Profiles in Operations, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain Management were offered by leading conglomerates and industry stalwarts such as Reliance Industries Limited, RPG Enterprises, Shell, BMW, Trafigura, Gulf Oil, IOCL, Vedanta, DCM Shriram, Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles, Nissan, TATA Motors and many more.
