MAH CET DTE CAP Round 2018
MAHCET 2018 Centralized Admission Process for admission 329 MBA/MMS colleges in Maharashtra is to begin in a few days. DTE is to announce the CAP 2018 registration and participation dates alongwith the list of ARCs and FCS. The State CET Cell of Maharashtra will also release the available seat matrix for CAP rounds for admission to  MBA/MMS 2018-20 batch in various colleges affiliated to different Universities in Maharashtra. The candidates will have to submit & confirm online the Option Form of CAP Round through candidate’s Login by himself/herself through the admission portal. 

 

MAH CET CAP process 2018: Final round for MBA admission 2018
Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra  has published a list of 329 MBA/MMS colleges with a total intake of 34,971 seats to be filled up through CAP 2018. DTE will start Centralized Admission process (CAP) 2018 for admission to all the participating B-schools in Maharashtra shortly.  CAP is the final admission round for MBA admission to JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA and other 325 B-schools in Maharashtra.

 

The list of MBA colleges released by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra on its website includes Autonomous University colleges, University departments, Government and University Managed MBA Colleges, Aided and Unaided Private and Minority MBA colleges among others. 15% Seat Reservation for All India category candidates exists in almost all the MBA/MMS colleges of Maharashtra.  

 

IIMs have announced to conduct CAT 2018 exam on Sunday November 25, 2018.

 

MAHCET 2018: Post Result Activity till MBA Admission

MAH MBA CET 2018 result has been declared on March 19. It’s time to gear up for MBA admission in JBIMS, SIMSREE, K J Somaiya, PUMBA and other 300+ MBA colleges. In next two months beginning from March to June 2018, DTE will finalize all the activities regarding the MBA admission by conducting CAP and making seat allotment as under:

Only MAHCET, CAT, CMAT scores acceptable in CAP 2018

One of the important changes, which DTE Maharashtra has announced is that only the candidates who have taken CAT 2017, CMAT 2018, GMAT and MAHCET 2018 are eligible to participate in CAP 2018 for admission to MBA programmes in Maharashtra B-schools.

CAP 2018 is the final admission round for MBA admission to JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA and other 300+ B-schools in Maharashtra. After declaration of MAH CET exam result for MBA admission, the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra will announce the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) 2018 schedule. CAP 2018 will be conducted in the month of May 2018 at number of MBA colleges in Maharashtra called Facilitation Centres (FCs).

 

CAP 2018 to have 4 admission rounds 
CAP 2018 will be conducted in 4 rounds. The process will consist of Online Application submission; Option form submission, document verification, counselling alongwith brief GD-PI, generation of merit list and allotment of MBA seat. Final allotment of seats will be based on your scores in MAHCET ; CAT; GMAT, CMAT exams, academics & other parameters leading to merit score in CAP round.

 

Types of MBA seats available for admission through DTE-CAP 2018:

  • Maharashtra State Candidature Seats: The Candidates having Maharashtra State Candidature shall be eligible for these seats
  • All India Candidature Seats: The Candidates having All India Candidature shall be eligible for these seats.
  • Minority Quota Seats: The Candidates having Minority Candidature shall be eligible for these seats. These seats shall be filled in accordance with the various provisions of the Act.
  • Institutional Quota Seats: The Institution can admit Eligible Candidates against 20% of the Sanctioned Intake. The maximum 5% seats may be filled in from the NRI Candidates, if it is approved by the Appropriate Authority at the Institution level.

Eligibility for CAP 2018

  • Admissions to MBA/MMS through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) 2018 conducted by DTE Maharashtra are open for Maharashtra domicile as well as for outside Maharashtra State (All India) candidates.
  • The candidates securing Non Zero Positive marks/score in MAH-MBA/ MMS-CET 2018 or GMAT/CAT/CMAT will be eligible to get admission to MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM course in the State of Maharashtra through CAP round.
  • The candidates must duly register themselves for MAHCET CAP 2018 by paying a requisite fee to DTE Maharashtra online if not already registered to be eligible to participate in CAP 2018.

Stages of DTE CAP 2018: From Application to Selection

  1. Filling Online Application Form by Candidate for participation in the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) 2018.
  2. Confirmation of Online Application Form and Document Verification and counselling alongwith brief GD, PI at Facilitation Centre (FC) by the Candidate in person.
  3. Display or publishing of Provisional merit lists, Submission of grievances, if any, and Display or publishing of Final Merit Lists.
  4. Display of available Categorywise Seats (Seat Matrix) for CAP Rounds I, II and III.
  5. Filling up and Confirmation of Online Option Form having preferences of Courses and Institutions before CAP Round I. Candidates may fill in choices of Institutes and Courses in decreasing order of their preference as specified by Competent Authority. The option form once confirmed shall be considered for allotment in CAP Round I, II, and III.
  6. Display of Provisional Allotment of CAP Round I, II, and III indicating allotted institute and Course. This allotment of seats will be based on your scores in MAHCET; CAT; XAT; GMAT, MAT; CMAT; ATMA exams, Academics & other parameters leading to merit score in CAP round.
  7. Reporting and accepting the offered seat as per the allotment of the CAP Round I, II, and III by the Candidate at Admission Reporting Centre (ARC).
  8. DTE will set up around 190 FCs in different MBA colleges of Maharashtra to appear for DTE CAP 2018 for admission to MBA/MMS 2018-20.

CAP 2018 Registration Fee

  • The registration fee for CAP for open Maharashtra State category or Outside Maharashtra State category candidates is Rs 1000/- and for reserved Maharashtra State category is Rs.800/-
  • If you have registered earlier and paid the fee, but did not appear in MAHCET 2018, you can login as already registered candidate. If you are registering new, please go through the new registration login.
  • Those who do not register or appear in MAHCET 2018 but appear in CMAT/CAT/ or GMAT can apply online as new candidate to participate in CAP 2018 and seek admission in less expensive MBA/MMS programme offered by Maharashtra B-schools.

MAH CET DTE CAP 2017: Seat Matrix

MAHCET 2017 CAP results were declared in March 2017. The State CET Cell of Maharashtra had  released the available seat matrix for CAP round-2 for admission to  MBA/MMS 2017-19 batch in various colleges affiliated to different Universities in Maharashtra. The candidates were then required to submit & confirm online the Option Form of CAP Round-II through candidate’s Login by himself/herself through the admission portal. Only after the submission of this form the candidate could see whether he/she had been allotted the seat in the display of Provisional Allotment of CAP Round-II on June 28

 

Admission chances to MBA/MMS 2017-19 batch in 300+ Maharashtra B-schools remained open for few more months after CAP round. Whether you are an All India or Maharashtra state candidate the admission opportunity were available for all category candidates. Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra on June 28 displayed the Vacant Seats for CAP Round-II for Maharashtra State as well as for All India candidates. Thousands of vacant seats were available to be filled up in various Maharashtra B-schools

 

Releasing the notification No. CETCELL/MBA-Admission Notice/2017/541 dated 16/06/2017 for admission to MBA/MMS for the 2017-19 batch DTE Maharashtra had shared the schedule of Online Option Form Submission, Confirmation and Acceptance of Seat at Admission Reporting Center(ARC) for the seats lying vacant as under:

The seats were available almost in all the B-schools. If your name appeared in the Final Merit List published by the DTE for Online Submission & Confirmation of Option Form by candidates aspiring for admissions to MBA/MMS 2017-19 batch in the Government, Government Aided, University Managed Institutes, University Managed Departments and Unaided private professional educational institutes, you could check your option and grab the opportunity after reading carefully the Rules/Regulations & Information..

 

Important instructions for MBA/MMS admission seekers

  • The List of the institutes identified as Admission reporting Centers (ARC) is available on the website.
  • The candidate can report to any nearest ARC.
  • Once the candidate confirms his/her Option form online through his/her Login for the respective admission rounds, Candidate will not be allowed to change/cancel the option/preference submitted under any circumstances.
  • A Candidate who has been allotted a seat shall download the “Provisional Seat Allotment Letter”
  • The Seat Acceptance Fee shall be Rs. 5,000/- for Candidates of General Category, VJ/DT, NT, SBC/OBC Category and Rs. 1,000/- for SC, ST Category Candidates.
  • The candidate has to pay the Seat Acceptance Fee during first reporting only. This fee shall be transferred to the institution after deducting Rs. 1,000/- towards processing fee.
  • The Seat Acceptance fees is to be paid at ARC through ONLINE MODE only.
  • Allotted Seat will be cancelled if, at any time, any of the documents or certificates is found to be invalid or fraudulent and/or the Candidate does not meet the eligibility norms.
  • Candidates who want to reject the allocated seat can do so by not remitting the seat acceptance fee at the Reporting Centre in scheduled period
  • For cancellation of admission before reporting to the institution, the candidate shall apply to the Admission Reporting Center to which he has paid Seat Acceptance Fee
  • Candidate can avail the facilities for filling & confirmation of online option/preference form free of cost at Facilitation Centre (FC).
  • All ARC’s shall remain open on all days including holidays and Sundays for confirmation of admission during the schedule.

All India candidates: Admissions available against CAP Vacancies
Since not all the MBA admissions in Maharashtra B-schools could be finalised through CAP round, there are still many vacant seats in MBA colleges. DTE Maharashtra clarifies ‘The seats remaining vacant after offering admissions to the candidates through CAP due to non reporting and cancellation after CAP Round-III will be filled in by the managements of the respective institutes. Admission authorities of the respective institutes will have to process these admissions strictly as per the guidelines given in Annexure -III.

DTE CAP Round 1 Seats Matrix Out

MAHCET 2017 CAP results are declared. The State CET Cell of Maharashtra has  released the available seat matrix for CAP round-1 for admission to  MBA/MMS 2017-19 batch in various colleges affiliated to different Universities in Maharashtra. Now the candidates have to submit & confirm online the Option Form of CAP Round-I through candidate’s Login by himself/herself through the admission portal. Only after the submission of this form the candidate can see whether he/she has been allotted the seat in the display of Provisional Allotment of CAP Round-I on June 23.
