DTE CAP 2018 for MBA/MMS Admissions

DTE Maharashtra has released the  MBA/MMS Cut off list for All India Seats of CAP Round I on July 5, 2018 and the  Provisional Seat Allotment Status of CAP Round I. Earlier DTE Maharashtra had released the final MBA/MMS Merit list for the three MH CET CAP Rounds 2018. Maharashtra (MH) State category, All India (AI) category and other candidates can check their Seat Allotment status, final merit position in DTE CAP 2018 by login with their Application Id and Date of Birth. Besides, DTE CAP 2018 Provisional Seat Matrix 2018-20 has also been released by Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra for MBA/MMS 2018-20.  

 

Registration opens for Non-CAP Candidates
Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra has opened Registrations for Non-CAP candidates for MBA/MMS admission 2018-20 courses in MBA colleges in Maharashtra.  This will be used for the future reference during admission process.

 

 

MAH CET DTE CAP Round 2018: Revised Schedule with Extended Dates
Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra has extended the last Date to apply for MBA/MMS Admission through DTE CAP 2018 to June 28, 2018 from earlier June 21, 2018. DTE CAP Round 2018 began on June 7, 2018 for admission to MBA/MMS 2018-20 batch at JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA and other MBA colleges in Maharashtra. With the revised DTE CAP 2018 schedule, now the provisional merit list for MBA admission will be displayed on June 29, 2018. 

 

Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra has appointed 244 Facilitation Centres (FCs) across Maharashtra to help the candidates seeking admission in MMS/MBA programmes in Maharashtra. The list of FCs is published vide Notification No. 2A/ADM/2018-19/MBA/FC/684 dated 04 June 2018

NMAT by GMAT: Registration open on July 3

DTE Maharashtra has released the Seat Matrix and the Guide for DTE MBA CAP Round 2018.  DTE CAP 2018 also suggests the DTE Maharashtra Admission implications after release of provisional and final merit lists after each DTE CAP 2018 round based on your performance MAHCET 2018 and other national exams. Stage-1: Application Stage
While the DTE Maharashtra has assigned the Activity -1 role to FCs, it has made clear that none of the 244 FCs would charge any amount for these services. Besides, it is not mandatory for the students to use the Facilitation Centre (FC) services for the Activity-1. 

  1. Submission of Online Application Form
  2. Scanning and Uploading of Required Documents
  3. Printing of Submitted Application Form

Stage-2: Document Verification, Confirmation of Application Form

  1.  Document verification as per the list of documents on the Application form
  2.  Scanning & uploading of documents.
  3.  andidates will come to FC with print of online filled & confirmed application form & one set of copy of uploaded documents. FC shall verify all documents and put FC stamp with date & signature on all copies of documents and return the same set of documents to the candidate along with receipt – cum-Acknowledgement of application form. (Candidate shall submit FC stamped & verified set of documents to ARC for re-verification after the allotment and then to the institute for admission as per the schedule)
  4. Handling of Grievances received from the Candidates (As per the notified schedule)

Note:

  1. It is mandatory for the candidate to report to FC for this activity.
  2. No charges should be collected from the candidate for this activity.

Stage-3: Submission of Online Option form for CAP Round I, II, III and Others, if any

  1. Facilitate the candidate for Submission of Online Option Form.
  2. Printing of Submitted Option Form

Note:

  1. No charges should be collected from the candidate for filing of online option Form.
  2. It is not mandatory for the candidate to use the facilitation of FC for this activity.

DTE Maharashtra has also announced vide its Notification dated May 19, 2018 to accept ATMA, MAT and XAT exam scores in MBA admission 2018 for All India Candidates. The Notification is meant for Maharashtra unaided Private professional colleges offering  MBA/MMS programmes.

 

The dates for Centralized Admission Process for admission to 329 MBA/MMS colleges in Maharashtra have been finalised and will be announced by DTE Maharashtra in a day or two. Apart from the CAP 2018 registration and participation dates, DTE will announce the list of ARCs.  and FCS. The State CET Cell of Maharashtra will also release the available seat matrix for CAP rounds for admission to  MBA/MMS 2018-20 batch in various colleges affiliated to Mumbai, Pune, and other Universities in Maharashtra. The candidates will have to submit the Option Form of CAP Round online through candidate’s Login by himself/herself through the admission portal. 

 

MAH CET CAP process 2018: Final round for MBA admission 2018
DTE Maharashtra started the Centralized Admission process (CAP) 2018 on June 7, for MBA admission to all the participating B-schools in Maharashtra. The application process will now close on June 28, 2018 at 5PM after the last date to apply has been extended by DTE Maharashtra.

 

The list of MBA colleges released by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra on its website includes Autonomous University colleges, University departments, Government and University Managed MBA Colleges, Aided and Unaided Private and Minority MBA colleges among others. 15% Seat Reservation for All India category candidates exists in almost all the MBA/MMS colleges of Maharashtra.  

 

IIMs have announced to conduct CAT 2018 exam on Sunday November 25, 2018.

Only MAHCET, CAT, CMAT scores acceptable in CAP 2018

One of the important changes, which DTE Maharashtra has announced is that only the candidates who have taken CAT 2017, CMAT 2018, GMAT and MAHCET 2018 are eligible to participate in CAP 2018 for admission to MBA programmes in Maharashtra B-schools.

 

CAP 2018 is the final admission round for MBA admission to JBIMS, SIMSREE, PUMBA and other 300+ B-schools in Maharashtra. After declaration of MAH CET exam result for MBA admission, the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra will announce the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) 2018 schedule. CAP 2018 will be conducted in the month of May 2018 at number of MBA colleges in Maharashtra called Facilitation Centres (FCs).

 

CAP 2018 to have 4 admission rounds 
CAP 2018 will be conducted in 4 rounds. The process will consist of Online Application submission; Option form submission, document verification, counselling alongwith brief GD-PI, generation of merit list and allotment of MBA seat. Final allotment of seats will be based on your scores in MAHCET ; CAT; GMAT, CMAT exams, academics & other parameters leading to merit score in CAP round.

 

Types of MBA seats available for admission through DTE-CAP 2018:

  • Maharashtra State Candidature Seats: The Candidates having Maharashtra State Candidature shall be eligible for these seats
  • All India Candidature Seats: The Candidates having All India Candidature shall be eligible for these seats.
  • Minority Quota Seats: The Candidates having Minority Candidature shall be eligible for these seats. These seats shall be filled in accordance with the various provisions of the Act.
  • Institutional Quota Seats: The Institution can admit Eligible Candidates against 20% of the Sanctioned Intake. The maximum 5% seats may be filled in from the NRI Candidates, if it is approved by the Appropriate Authority at the Institution level.

Eligibility for CAP 2018

  • Admissions to MBA/MMS through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) 2018 conducted by DTE Maharashtra are open for Maharashtra domicile as well as for outside Maharashtra State (All India) candidates.
  • The candidates securing Non Zero Positive marks/score in MAH-MBA/ MMS-CET 2018 or GMAT/CAT/CMAT will be eligible to get admission to MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM course in the State of Maharashtra through CAP round.
  • The candidates must duly register themselves for MAHCET CAP 2018 by paying a requisite fee to DTE Maharashtra online if not already registered to be eligible to participate in CAP 2018.

      CAP 2018 Registration & Application Fee

      Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra has notified: “Candidates who have registered for MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2018 are not required to pay any fees for registration for admission. However other candidates who have obtained score which is valid for admission in academic year 2018-19 in CAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA and have not registered for MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2018 are required to pay fees as given below only by Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking etc. through Online mode. Fees paid is nonrefundable. (No other mode of payment shall be permitted.)”

       

      Application fee for General (Open) and Reserved Category Candidates

      • The registration fee for CAP for open Maharashtra State category or Outside Maharashtra State category candidates is Rs 1000/- and for reserved Maharashtra State category is Rs.800/-
      • If you had registered earlier for MAHCET 2018 and paid the fee, but did not appear in MAHCET 2018, you can login as already registered candidate. If you are registering new, please go through the new registration login.
      • Those who did not register or did not appear in MAHCET 2018 but appeared in CMAT/CAT/ATMA/MAT/XAT or GMAT can apply online as new candidate to participate in CAP 2018 and seek admission in MBA/MMS programme offered by Maharashtra B-schools.

      MAH CET DTE CAP 2017: Seat Matrix

      MAHCET 2017 CAP results were declared in March 2017. The State CET Cell of Maharashtra had  released the available seat matrix for CAP round-2 for admission to  MBA/MMS 2017-19 batch in various colleges affiliated to different Universities in Maharashtra. The candidates were then required to submit & confirm online the Option Form of CAP Round-II through candidate’s Login by himself/herself through the admission portal. Only after the submission of this form the candidate could see whether he/she had been allotted the seat in the display of Provisional Allotment of CAP Round-II on June 28

       

      Admission chances to MBA/MMS 2017-19 batch in 300+ Maharashtra B-schools remained open for few more months after CAP round. Whether you are an All India or Maharashtra state candidate the admission opportunity were available for all category candidates. Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra on June 28 displayed the Vacant Seats for CAP Round-II for Maharashtra State as well as for All India candidates. Thousands of vacant seats were available to be filled up in various Maharashtra B-schools

      Important instructions for MBA/MMS admission seekers

      • The List of the institutes identified as Admission reporting Centers (ARC) is available on the website.
      • The candidate can report to any nearest ARC.
      • Once the candidate confirms his/her Option form online through his/her Login for the respective admission rounds, Candidate will not be allowed to change/cancel the option/preference submitted under any circumstances.
      • A Candidate who has been allotted a seat shall download the “Provisional Seat Allotment Letter”
      • The Seat Acceptance Fee shall be Rs. 5,000/- for Candidates of General Category, VJ/DT, NT, SBC/OBC Category and Rs. 1,000/- for SC, ST Category Candidates.
      • The candidate has to pay the Seat Acceptance Fee during first reporting only. This fee shall be transferred to the institution after deducting Rs. 1,000/- towards processing fee.
      • The Seat Acceptance fees is to be paid at ARC through ONLINE MODE only.
      • Allotted Seat will be cancelled if, at any time, any of the documents or certificates is found to be invalid or fraudulent and/or the Candidate does not meet the eligibility norms.
      • Candidates who want to reject the allocated seat can do so by not remitting the seat acceptance fee at the Reporting Centre in scheduled period
      • For cancellation of admission before reporting to the institution, the candidate shall apply to the Admission Reporting Center to which he has paid Seat Acceptance Fee
      • Candidate can avail the facilities for filling & confirmation of online option/preference form free of cost at Facilitation Centre (FC).
      • All ARC’s shall remain open on all days including holidays and Sundays for confirmation of admission during the schedule.

      All India candidates: Admissions available against CAP Vacancies
      Since not all the MBA admissions in Maharashtra B-schools could be finalised through CAP round, there are still many vacant seats in MBA colleges. DTE Maharashtra clarifies ‘The seats remaining vacant after offering admissions to the candidates through CAP due to non reporting and cancellation after CAP Round-III will be filled in by the managements of the respective institutes. Admission authorities of the respective institutes will have to process these admissions strictly as per the guidelines given in Annexure -III.

      DTE CAP Round 1 Seats Matrix Out

      MAHCET 2017 CAP results are declared. The State CET Cell of Maharashtra has  released the available seat matrix for CAP round-1 for admission to  MBA/MMS 2017-19 batch in various colleges affiliated to different Universities in Maharashtra.
