Top MMS colleges accepting MAH CET score in 2018 are more than 300+. MMS is the 2 years full time MBA programme in MBA colleges in Maharashtra known as Master of Management Studies (MMS).  All the MAH CET participating institutes 2018 offer either MMS (JBIMS, SIMSREE etc.) in case it is autonomous, aided, private B-school, or if it is University department or University affiliated, the college will offer MBA programme for example PUMBA.

 

However, all the MBA colleges accepting MAHCET and accepting MAH MBA CET Score will offer MBA/MMS programme which is regulated by Government of Maharashtra. Top MBA colleges under MAH CET run the low fee MBA/MMS programmes. The MBA fee in all these MAHCET accepting colleges is decided by the Government agency ‘Shikshan Shulka Samiti.’

 

All the MMS colleges under MAH CET 2018 and participating in DTE CAP 2018 will also accept CAT 2017 and CMAT 2018 score in admission 2018. MMS colleges admission and MMS seat allotment is done by DTE Maharashtra through the Centralized Admission process after MAHCET result is declared.

Key facts about MMS Colleges accepting MAHCET 2018 score:

  1. Top MMS Colleges are governed by DTE Maharashtra
  2. Even private aided or unaided/minority MMS colleges have a good number of seats allocated by DTE Maharashtra through the centralized admission process
  3. As per the DTE Maharashtra notification Mumbai University MMS Colleges; Pune university MMS colleges or all other universities affiliated MMS colleges will accept only MAHCET 2018, CAT 2017 and CMAT 2018 score for the seats filled up through DTE Centralized Admission Process (CAP) 2018
  4. MMS Colleges can be autonomous like JBIMS; can be society run; University department; University affiliated; Government aided; Unaided private MMS College or Minority status MMS College accepting MAHCET as well as other exam scores.
  5. All the MMS colleges award Mumbai University, Pune University or other university degree in Maharashtra State.
  6. Many MMS colleges like N L Dalmiya, K J Somaiya, IESMCRC, under MAHCET also run AICTE approved PGDM programmes and accept CAT, XAT and other exam scores.
  7. MMS is low fee programme as MMS fee structure in the Colleges accepting MAHCET is regulated by ‘Shikshan Shulka Samiti’ of Government of Maharashtra for MMS programme.
  8. PGDM fee structure in MMS colleges under MAHCET is decided by the MBA college as per the AICTE guidelines
  9. JBIMS Mumbai offers MMS only and no PGDM.

MMS 2018-20 Admission Process through DTE CAP 2018
Following are the key steps which the candidates need to take for MMS 2018 admission:

  • Register and apply for MAHCET 2018 before February 14, 2018
  • Appear in online computer based MAHCET 2018 exam on March 10 or 11, 2018
  • After declaration of MAH MBA/MMS CET 2018 result on March 19, 2018 check his/her score
  • Wait for the DTE announcement about opening of CAP 2018 process for MMS admission 2018
  • Register and Pay for DTE CAP 2018 round to participate in Centralized Admission Process for seat allotment in JBIMS, SIMSREE, K J Somaiya and other preferred MMS colleges
  • It is not necessary to appear in MAHCET 2018 for MMS admission process even if you have registered and applied for MAHCET.
  • You can submit your CAT and CMAT score to DTE when CAP begins and the MMS admission can be explored on the basis of these exam scores.
  • After the document verification at ARC assigned by DTE Maharashtra, MMS college seat allotment will be made to Maharashtra state and All India candidates separately on the basis of calculation of their merit score. This score will be arrived at after giving due weightage to the written exam score, academic profile, achievements among other factors.

  • MMS colleges offering AICTE approved PGDM will have higher fee structure for PGDM
  • Some of the top MBA/PGDM colleges – namely SPJIMR Mumbai, NMIMS Mumbai, IIM Indore (Navi Mumbai campus); IIT Bombay; NITIE Mumbai do not offer MMS programme nor they accept MAHCET score for admission to any of their MBA/PGDM programmes.
  • No CAP round for admission to AICTE approved, institute based PGDM programme will be conducted. Admission process will be finalized at the institute level.

  1. It may be noted that the MMS colleges with multiple system of seat allocation apart from DTE CAP seats, for example- Institute level, minority and other seats may fill their institute level seats with other exam scores also with the directive from Government of Maharashtra.
