CMAT 2018 exam Analysis: Tricky LR, Time taking DI, tough GK yet Moderate overall on predictable lines

CMAT 2018 exam has just got over at 12.30PM today on January 20, 2018. The test remained on predictable lines with moderate difficulty level but slightly more difficult Data Interpretation, tricky Logical Reasoning (LR) and tough GK. CMAT 2018 was reported a successful and glitch free exam.

CMAT 2018 exam has just got over at 12.30PM today on January 20, 2018. The test remained on predictable lines with moderate difficulty level but slightly more difficult Data Interpretation, tricky Logical Reasoning (LR) and tough GK.
CMAT 2018 was reported a successful and glitch free exam today. The exam was conducted from 9.30AM to 12.30PM in a single session across the country. The test not only began on time but also did not face technical issues although few stray cases of technical glitch were reported.

Live coverage at one of the CMAT 2018 test centres revealed more students reporting Logical Reasoning and General Awareness sections as bit more difficult than Quant and Language Comprehension.

MBAUniverse.com team took stock of the CMAT 2018 test paper from the candidates who appeared in CMAT 2018 exam. The test centre had the provision for about 100 candidates but only 70 or so candidates reported for the exam. In fact CMAT 2018 is the last exam providing the opportunity to CAT 2017 and XAT 2018 test takers who have scored between 50 to 70 percentile to improve their scores and get admission opportunity in many top MBA colleges like JBIMS, SIMSREE, K J Somaiya, GIM Goa among others.

Team MBAUniverse.com interviewed the test takers coming out of the exam centre. The candidates reported that the Data Interpretation part in Quant section was a little more difficulty and lengthy, LR was tricky and time consuming while GK has been rated comparative tough. However they were unanimous that Quant and Language comprehension sections were good and doable.

CMAT 2018 Overall Exam: 4 sections with 25 questions each
CMAT 2018 exam had 100 questions in MCQ format. There were 4 sections with 25 MCQs in each section. Each correct answer is awarded 4 marks in CMAT and every wrong answer carries a penalty of -1 negative mark. Total maximum marks are 400. The exam was conducted in 3 hours duration from 9.30AM to 12.30PM.

No Surprise element
CMAT 2018 was on expected pattern with no surprise element. Although there were questions in twisted form but they remained within the topic framework.
