SET 2019 Pattern

Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) 2019 is an online computer basted test of 2½ hours duration. SET 2019 exam date is May 4, 2019. SET exam is the mandatory online Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) for BBA admission. All the Symbiosis institutes accept only SET exam score. Conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune, SET will be held on from 2.30PM to 5 PM for admission to undergraduate courses at Symbiosis colleges.

 

SET 2019 Exam Pattern: Key highlights

  • SET 2019 will be held on May 4, 2019 from 2.30PM to 5PM across the country.
  • SET 2019 will be divided in 4 sections
  • SET exam will have 150 questions in MCQ format
  • Each correct answer in SET 2019 will be awarded +1 mark
  • Total maximum marks in SET 2019 are 150
  • No extra time will be given for candidates who report late at the test centre
  • Each question in SET 2019 will have 4 responses.
  • All the 4 sections are mandatory to attempt
  • Candidates can move from section to other during the overall time limit of SET exam
  • There will not be negative marking for wrong answers in SET 2019 exam

SET Exam Pattern : Type of Questions
It is very important to know the type of questions and the topics in SET exam on which questions are based:

 

Section-1: General English
This section in SET exam includes questions on Verbal Ability and Reading comprehension passages. Vocabulary and Grammar based questions are an important part of General English section.

Section-2: Quantitative
This section in SET exam covers Arithmetic of class 10 standard, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry among other topics.  Besides, you need  to prepare on Number System, Sequence and Series, Mensuration, Permutations and Combinations, Probability, Equations, Logarithm, Matrices among others.

 

Section-3: General Awareness
General Awareness with 40 questions, is an equally important section in SET exam. Major topics covered in SET syllabus are Current National Affairs, Current International Affairs, Currencies, Capitals, Geography, Books & Authors, Sports among other topics

 

Section-4: Analytical & Logical Reasoning
Reasoning section has 30 questions but is considered as very important section in SET exam. The section is supposed to have moderate level of difficulty but may be more time consuming. Make sure that you have covered al
 of the topics in this section namely Sequencing and Arrangement, Team Selection, Fact Inference Judgment, Passage Conclusion, Analogy, Statement Argument among others as detailed in SET exam syllabus. Read More
