Pursuing PGDM-C at MICA could be a different learning experience as the B-school will groom the business leader within you who is adept in creative domain, says Prof Ashutosh Dutt, Admission chair at MICA.

Admission process for PGDM-C at MICA is open. Candidates can apply online for MICAT-1, with an application fee of Rs.1965 latest by November 30, 2017. MICAT is MICA’s own admission test, to be conducted on December 17, 2017. Besides the candidates must have appeared in CAT 2017, XAT 2018 or must have valid GMAT scores.

MICAT Calculation of Scaled Scores

The score obtained individually by a candidate ‘X’ in a particular component of MICAT-I/MICAT-II,e.g. Verbal Ability (VA) will be converted into Scaled Score using the following sample formula for one of the components, i.e., VA:


Scaled Score -VA of a candidate 'X' in MICAT-I/MICAT-II = (Score -VA of the candidate 'X' /Maximum obtained by any candidate amongst the candidates who have appeared in MICAT-I/MICAT-II in VA) multiplied by Maximum Possible Score in VA in MICAT-I/MICAT-II.


MICAT Exam Centres

MICAT-I for admission to PGDM-C 2019-21 batch will be conducted in 48 cities in India. These are:

MICAT Selection Process

The selection process at MICA involves three steps:


Step-I: Apply with CAT/ XAT/GMAT. Each candidate has to take at least one of the three exams: CAT/ XAT/GMAT.


Step-II: MICA Admission Test (MICAT). All candidates are assessed on MICAT, which consists of 6 sections: Psychometric (P), Verbal ability (VA), Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (QADI), General awareness (GA), Divergent and Convergent Thinking (DCT), and Descriptive Test (DT).


MICAT 2019

MICA, Ahmedabad has opened the MICAT-1 Registration process on August 23, 2018 and will close it on November 20. The MICAT-1 exam for admission to PGDM-C 2019-21 batch will be held on December 02, 2018 as a computer based test. The MICAT-I application fee is Rs.1985/- inclusive of GST.


PGDM - Communications

  • The course curriculum is framed in a way that it focuses on creative thinking, consumer -centricity, communication and community outreach. 
  • Apart from academics, students are also encouraged to get hands on experience of the industry through a mandatory 2 months Summer Internship to learn the nuances required to excel as a business professional.
  • Rural Immersion Programme, an integral part of the course on rural communication, exposes students to rural realities with an emphasis on development and marketing communication
