The Government of Tamil Nadu has authorized Anna University to conduct the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2025 for admission 2025 to M.B.A & M.C.A Degree Programmes. TANCET is a paper-based exam of moderate difficulty level. Apart from the Tamil Nadu domicile candidates, aspirants from other states can also appear in the exam. Clarifying the admission eligibility for other state candidates, Anna University has clarified, “Other State candidates can appear for the entrance test, but the eligibility conditions will be stipulated by the admitting authority/University.”

Anna university has specified TANCET eligibility criteria. Applicants should possess following qualification:

• Graduate from a recognised university with 50% marks in any discipline
• Candidates in final year of graduation are also eligible to apply provided their graduation result is declared by the prescribed date as decided by the University/institute
• If the provisionally admitted candidates are unable to secure minimum required score, their admission will become invalid.
• If you are eligible to apply, you can appear in the entrance exam irrespective of your State domicile

TANCET 2025 Exam Pattern is paper based test and consists of five sections. The exam is conducted in a single slot of 2 hours duration. TANCET full form is Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test. TANCET 2025 exam will be held as a paper-based test at exam centres to provide level playing field for the candidates coming from all the areas – urban and rural who may not have skills to appear in computer-based tests. The TANCET 2025 Syllabus for MBA entrance exam is split into five sections of Data Analysis, Reading Comprehension Passages, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Sufficiency and General English. • Data Analysis: Data Analysis section has 20 questions based on Table, Pie charts, graphs, comparative data etc. A paragraph with the data to take business decisions is given. Test Takers need to analyse business situation on the basis of information given in the paragraph and answer the questions
• Reading Comprehension passages: RC Passages section has 20 questions based on the passages. RC passages are short and are based on current affairs, literature, abstract topics. 
• Quantitative Aptitude: QA section has 20 questions based on Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Number system, Modern Math. The questions are formed to evaluate the skill on solving mathematical problems at plus two and graduate level
• Data sufficiency: This section has 20 questions based on Pie Chart, Line Graph, Bar Graph, Tables. It tests the ability to determine data sufficiency for answering questions using the given data and the knowledge of mathematics.
• General English: General English section has 20 questions. It tests the knowledge on written English with questions on errors in usage, grammar, punctuation and the like

TANCET is comparatively an easier entrance exam than other MBA entrance tests. TANCET 2025 Preparation requires focus across all five sections DA, RC, QA, DS, Gen English. 8.2 TANCET 2025 Previous Papers and Mocks Tests
Anna University releases previous year TANCET question paper which can be obtained from the Centre for Entrance Examinations at the cost of Rs. 25/- (by DD or cash) per booklet.  Previous test papers and Mocks for TANCET 2025 will help to analyses the level of difficulty. 

TANCET admit card 2025 will be released on official TANCET website in the last week of February 2025. Only successfully registered candidates can download the TANCET  exam 2025 Admit card from exam website. The last date to download the Admit Card is the TANCET exam date. 

9.1 Step by Step Process to Download Admit Card:

• Login with your TANCET 2025 Registration ID and Password
• Insert the verification code 
• View and Download the Admit Card
• Save the Admit Card and take print on A4 size paper

TANCET 2025 Hall Ticket should be produced at the time of Entrance Test and also at the time of Admission. 

TANCET 2025 Answer key will be released by Anna University 3-4 days after the exam date to enable the test takers to verify their responses with correct official answers. Since TANCET 2025 is a paper-based test, Anna University has informed that the answer sheets should be shaded in black ball point pen and the answers shaded in pencils will not be evaluated.

TANCET 2025 Result is likely to be released on or before April 2025 second week. TANCET Score Card should be downloaded from the website by the candidates within a month from the date of publication of results of the entrance test. The TANCET score card should be produced at the time of admission. TANCET 2025 score card will have your personal details Name, Address, photograph, Date of Birth, Email ID; exam  registration number, Your category, Gender, Date & Time of TANCET 2025 exam, section-wise and overall percentile score and other details

Candidates who have written the TANCET 2025 will be notified with actual marks and percentile score they have obtained, at the time of releasing TANCET result. However, to avoid projecting negative scoring, the final TANCET score card contains only the percentile score.
