XAT Selection Procedure 2020

Selection procedure of XLRI-XAT 2020 is more governed by the admission policy of XLRI Jamshedpur and other 140 member and associate B-schools accepting XAT 2020 scores in their admission process. XAT 2020 score is the mandatory requirement in the XLRI selection process for its highly ranked PGDM programme. Xavier School of Management (XLRI) Jamshedpur will shortlist you on the basis of your XAT 2020 score immediately after the XAT 2020 result is declared in the last week of January 2020. The first step to participate in XLRI 2020 Selection procedure is to apply for XAT 2020 and to apply simultaneously to XLRI Jamshedpur through the same application form. The  admission application process 2020 at XLRI Jamshedpur closes on November 30, 2019.

XAT selection procedure 2020 has six main stages:

6 Stages of XLRI-XAT 2019 Selection Procedure

 

Stage 1: XAT 2020 Registration and Application: Last date Nov 30
If you wish to be a part of XLRI admission process 2020, the first step is to apply for XAT 2020 and also to XLRI, Jamshedpur. XAT 2020 and XLRI Application form can be completed in six simple steps. The XLRI application process is online and can be completed in a few minutes time. XLRI is the XAT 2020 conducting authority also and has provided the facility to apply for XAT 2020 and for one or multiple management programmes of XLRI with a common application form.

 

Application fee for XAT Admission Process 2020
XAT 2020 Registration fees and XAT Application form fees are clubbed into one. The XAT Registration fee includes the XAT Application form fees and the XAT 2020 Exam Fee also. The XLRI PGDM programme application fee is not included in XAT Registration fee and the candidates have to apply for admission to XLRI programme by paying additional fee while completing the XAT 2020 application form. Stage 2: Taking XAT 2020 Exam on Jan 6
Your performance in XAT 2020 is the key criterion to clear the major XAT Selection Criterion 2020. The XAT performance can be gauged with the overall score, percentile score as well as sectional score in the XAT 2020 exam. XAT Selection Procedure 2020 may not prove to be difficult. It is worthwhile to understand the XAT 2020 exam pattern before moving to XLRI-XAT selection procedure:

 

XAT 2020 Exam is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur. The XAT 2020 exam pattern has been changed and the Essay Writing Test has been removed from XAT 2020 computer based test to facilitate XAT selection procedure by many other Management Institutions who prefer to conduct their own essay writing test instead of only XAT essay writing. These institutes select suitable candidates as per their own XAT selection process. The XAT score is accepted by all the XAT Member and Associate institutes.

Stage 3: XAT 2020 Result   
The third stage of XAT selection procedure is the declaration of XAT 2020 result and release of score card. The XAT 2020 Result date is January 25, 2020. The XAT score card contains – Overall raw score, sectional raw score, overall percentile score and sectional percentile score. The XAT 2020 Selection procedure will depend upon your XAT 2020 percentile score and place in XLRI merit list of shortlisted candidates. You also need to submit your XAT 2020 exam score to the other B-schools also where you have already applied or plan to apply now.

 

Stage 4:  Shortlisting For Final XLRI-XAT Admission
Next phase of XAT selection process is the shortlisting for final admission round by XLRI, SPJIMR based on XAT 2020 exam score or other B-schools where you have applied for MBA admission 2020. The shortlisting process under XAT selection procedure 2020 begins in the first week of February and will continue till the last week of February 2020.  XLRI and other B-schools will shortlist the candidates on the basis of XAT 2020 Entrance test scores for final selection round which may contain GD-PI-WAT or PI-WAT or GD-PI or may have different components.

 

The shortlisting by the B-schools in XAT 2020 selection procedure is done as per their individual admission policy. The decision on minimum section wise and overall cut off in XAT entrance exam at the time of shortlisting will be taken by the XLRI and other respective B-school

 

If the candidate does not score minimum prescribed percentile in XAT 2020 entrance exam, he/she may not be considered for shortlisting for final selection stage.

 

Stage 5: Participate in GD-PI-WAT Round

  • All the shortlisted candidates are eligible to participate in Final selection round for admission to the XLRI PGDM programmes for which they have applied
  • The Personal Interview Round for PGDM (BM), PGDM (HRM) and PGDM (GM) candidates through XAT will be conducted between mid- February and March 2020 in Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai and Jamshedpur 
  • For PGDM (GM) Programmes only, the candidates who cannot be present physically for the XLRI interviews due to their being out of the country, interviews would be carried out in online mode via Internet. GMP Interviews can be conducted over G-talk / Skype for overseas candidates. Candidate need to send email at [email protected] for scheduling their interview online after result.
  • The XLRI-XAT selection list is based on a composite score, which takes into account the applicant’s  academic record, XAT 2020 scores, Work experience and performance in the PI Round

Stage 6: Final Admission Offer
Getting the admission offer from XLRI, SPJIMR, IMT, XIMB or other preferred B-school is the last stage in the XAT Admission Procedure 2020. XLRI will release the final admission list in the month of April/May 2020 and the session would commence in the middle of June 2020
