How would CAT 2017 Admit card download delay to affect your candidature? Care you need to take

No anomaly that appears in your CAT 2017 Admit card on October 25, may get redressed due to a week’s delay in its issue. Earlier CAT Admit card was proposed to be released on October 18 but now the CAT 2017 Admit card will be released tomorrow and will be available for download from CAT 2017 official website iimcat.ac.in from October 25, 1PM onwards . You will need your CAT user id and CAT 2017 password  for login to download the CAT 2017 Admit Card.

How the delay can impact your candidature?
CAT 2017 Admit card download delay by 7 days may affect your candidature in case of any discrepancy that appears in the admit card. The closer you are to CAT 2017 exam day, lesser becomes the chances to get the rectification done by CAT Centre within time. The result is confusion! Unless prompt help is provided by the help desk at IIM Lucknow, the dilemma may persist.

There could be errors in your personal details and if you did not take care to ensure that all the details that you entered were correct, it would continue to pose problems before you even during the admission process in IIMs and other top B-schools who may refuse to offer you admission even after getting shortlisted.

Another problem is that during such time when there are problems in bulk, the CAT helpdesk also finds itself helpless to attend the grievances quickly and delay of one week in CAT Admit card issue may turn into many more days delay, in case any such problem comes up. In case of any slightest wrong entry while completing the personal details, choice of 4 test cities among others, you may face a little more difficulty than you anticipated. In case the CAT Centre 2017 at IIM Lucknow refuses to carry out the necessary rectification, you may not be allowed to sit for the exam due to mismatch in spelling or may have to travel to some other destination to appear in CAT 2017 than what you thought would be the preferred exam centre.

Your CAT Application summary available: Get satisfied first
You must have received an automated email confirmation upon successful submission of your application.  If you have received the confirmation mail from CAT Centre 2017, all the details would be available in your application summary. Check each of the inserted details and if you find any one is wrong, immediately contact the help desk before it is too late.

As soon as the CAT admit card is out on CAT 2017 website and available for download on October 25, there will be a great rush to CAT 2017 help desk and at that time it will be very difficult to get the things corrected in time.

How to verify the candidature for CAT 2017?
The CAT 2017 Admit Card would contain your personal details along with other information. These personal details are very much important to verify and to confirm your candidature. You should therefore check whether you entered correctly your personal details like your name, father’s and mother’s name, academic qualification among others.

Your CAT 2017 admit card is supposed to contain following information. Please check on October 25 while downloading your CAT 2017 admit card against each item

• Your name as entered in the registration/application form of CAT 2017
• Date of CAT 2017 exam along with slot of exam
• Address of CAT 2017 test city and centre
• User ID/registration number
• PWD/DA status

Please note that you will be eligible for CAT Admit Card only upon successful submission of online application form. IIM Lucknow has clarified ““The admit card will be only available on the CAT Website when you log on using your CAT 2017 User ID.” No hard copy of CAT 2017 Admit card will be sent to you.

CAT 2017 Admit card is the most important document establishing your identity for CAT 2017 exam leading to IIMs. In case the details mentioned in the CAT admit card are not correct, it becomes difficult to appear in the exam. Accordingly, after checking all the particulars in your CAT admit card, please ensure they are correct. IIM Lucknow the CAT 2017 convening IIM has shared, “Please note that, you will not receive a refund or Admit Card for your earlier registration. Failure to re-register in such circumstances may lead to nullification of your candidature.”
