The 4th edition of annual MBAUniverse.com B-school Ranking 2013- 14, Indias most comprehensive & toughest MBA ranking, with participation from 11 IIMs and virtually every top 100 B-school, is out now! And the Ranking has thrown up many surprises, with IIM Bangalore displacing IIM Calcutta as Indias 2nd best B-school, and SP Jain Institute of Management Research edging out many IIMs to get at No 6 position. The survey results will reach & influence more than 150,000 MBA aspirants and help them apply to right B-schools for MBA admissions 2014.
Talking about surprises, within just 3 years of its launch, IIM Trichy has emerged as a Top 20 B-school. IMI, New Delhi & XIMB, Bhubaneswar have improved their rankings as compared to the MBAUniverse.com 2012-13 B School ranking. The IMI has acquired rank 12 as compared to rank 16 which it got in last years ranking while XIMB has acquired the rank 13 as compared to last years rank of 17. There are many other surprises, and learning from the survey.

MBAUniverse.com used the provision of Right to Information (RTI) to gather valuable information from maximum number of B Schools of the country.
The survey has been conducted under the guidance of a high-power advisory body, headed by Padma Shree Dr Bakul Dholakia, former director of IIM Ahmedabad. Appreciating the Ranking process, Dr Dholakia said, As the Chairman of the MBAUniverse.com Ranking 2013-14 Advisory Body, I am satisfied with the objectives, processes adopted, and the final outcome of the Rankings. Rankings Results Highlights:
Some of the salient highlights of MBAUniverse.coms B School rankings which should not be missed are as follows:
For the first time Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has got the second place after IIM Ahmedabad thus pushing IIM Calcutta (IIMC) down to the third position. One of the main reasons behind this development is IIMBs growing academic clout. It has the maximum number of permanent faculties numbering 95 as compared to other leading IIMs.
Like previous rankings, The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) this year too has maintained its number one position among the leading B schools in the country.
XLRI Jamshedpur leads the pack of Non-IIM B-schools by keeping on with its earlier position by getting the number 4 Rank. It got a median placement of Rs 16,20000 in the placement session 2013.
SPJIMR, IMI New Delhi are big gainers this year by getting number 6 and number rank respectively. In the last years MBAUniverse.coms B schools ranking SPJIMR was at rank 9 while IMI was at rank 16.
This MBAUniverse.com ranking also ranked the new IIMs with IIM Trichy getting the 19th position while IIM, Shillong got the 24th position.
