IMC Awards Theme 2024 addresses recent Placement Challenges
Organizers have shared that IMC Awards theme is based on important recent developments. MBA Placement 2024 season has been unlike any other in the recent history. A survey by MBAUniverse.com of Placement trends across Top 50 B-schools in India revealed that this year MBA salaries have come down by 5-15% compared to last year. Further, the percentage of MBAs who were left unemployed on the date of completion of their program was at a record high. So, have industry expectations from MBA Program and their graduates changed? Is there a disconnect between Industry talent expectations and the output of B-schools?
Commenting on the IMC Awards Theme, Mr Agnihotri said: Looking at the recent recruitment trends, it seems that there is a big disconnect between industry expectations and competencies possessed by MBA graduates. Corporates are increasingly hiring MBAs for specific roles, which require defined competencies. In this context, Identifying Contemporary MBA Roles & Competencies: Initiatives by B-schools & Faculty is the Award 2024 theme.
