IMI New Delhi opens admission process for PGDM 2018-20; apply with CAT 2017, GMAT scores

IMI New Delhi, one of the top management institutes in the country, has opened the admission for PGDM 2018-20 batch today on September 15, 2017. The B-school will accept CAT 2017 and GMAT scores for admissions to its management programmes.

IMI New Delhi has opened the admission for its PGDM 2018-20 batch today on September 15, 2017. The B-school will accept CAT 2017 and GMAT scores for admissions to its management programmes. The application process is open till December 4, 2017.

Candidates who will appear for the CAT 2017 examination (or furnish valid GMAT score) and have applied to IMI New Delhi will be short listed for final stage of selection process, which will be based on details provided in the application form, CAT scores (sectional and overall) or GMAT score, educational background, marks in 10th, 12th, graduation and work experience, if any.

According to IMI New Delhi, Past academic performance (in graduation, class XII & X), Extempore speaking, Psychometric Test, Essay Writing, Personal Interview besides other qualitative parameters, will be part of the final stage of the selection process.

IMI New Delhi was set up in 1981 in collaboration with International Management Institute, Geneva, which is now known as IMD Lausanne. Regarded amongst one of the top management institutes in the country, the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) constituted by Ministry of Human Resources, Government of India in 2016, placed IMI New Delhi as No. 1 amongst all private B-Schools in the country. IMI is accredited by two leading international accreditation bodies - AMBA and SAQS. All programs at IMI New Delhi are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

IMI New Delhi is respected for its academic and intellectual capabilities as it has diverse and experienced pool of faculty, that combine both academic rigour and corporate exposure. The Director General of IMI New Delhi is Dr Debashis Chatterjee, who was the former director of IIM Kozhikode and also the Professor and Dean at IIM Lucknow. Dr Chatterjee took over as the Director General of IMI New Delhi in January this year.

Programmes offered at IMI New Delhi
IMI New Delhi offers following 2 years full time PGDM programmes:

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Management - Human Resources (PGDM-HRM) 
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Banking and Financial Services (PGDM - B&FS) 

Students are given the opportunity to avail diverse electives across various domains such as Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Strategy.

In addition, IMI New Delhi also offers a 15-month Executive PGDM.

Who can apply
The minimum eligibility to apply for admission to IMI New Delhi is that you should possess a bachelor’s or equivalent degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent in any discipline, from a recognised university in India or abroad (recognised by the UGC / Association of Indian Universities).

It’s important to note that work experience is not mandatory to apply to IMI New Delhi. Participants for the PGDM programme maybe fresh graduates from any discipline including Engineering, Humanities, Commerce, Economics, Medicine or any other branch of education or they may have relevant work experience also.

Appear in CAT 2017

Candidates should appear in CAT 2017 exam to be held on November 26, 2017 across the country apart from applying to IMI New Delhi. Registration for CAT 2017 is scheduled to close on September 20, 2017 at 5PM. 

How to apply
Eligible candidates appearing for CAT 2017 or GMAT and seeking admission in PGDM 2018-20 batch at IMI Delhi can apply online only on its website - www.imi.edu/delhi/. The application process will remain open till December 4, 2017. Applicant should complete the online application form and submit the same along with the application fee.
