IBSAT 2025 Exam was successfully held on December 27 and 28, 2025. IBSAT test results were declared on December 30, 2025. What is IBSAT Exam?

The IBSAT Full Form is ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test. IBSAT Entrance Exam 2025 will be conducted by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (a deemed to be University) and the exam will have a test duration of 2 hours. IBSAT is an Internet Based Aptitude Test. You can take IBSAT from home for admission to the MBA/Ph.D programs offered at IBS Hyderabad & Bangalore; MBA Program at IBS Dehradun & Jaipur and PGPM program at all other 5 ICFAI Business Schools. IBSAT is of 2 Hours Duration. IBSAT Exam pattern includes section on Quantitative Techniques, Data Interpretation, Data Adequacy, Vocabulary, Analytical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension. IBSAT 2025 exam pattern has 140 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided in four sections: Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation. Verbal Ability has the maximum weightage. Check details below.

Reading Comprehension    
 
The Reading Comprehension section syllabus comprises of RC passages of moderate difficulty on Current Affairs, Business & Economics, Social Issues, Literature and other topics. There are usually 3 RC passages of about 500-600 words and 1 RC Passage of about 400-500 words followed by 8 and 6 questions respectively. Most questions are directly related to the RC passages and answers to them can be easily located in the RC passage itself
Quantitative Aptitude    The questions are designed to assess the quantitative aptitude of candidates who have basic understanding of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration, modern maths. Arithmetic: Time & Work, Simple & Compound Interest, Ratio-Proportions, Percentages, Numbers, Other Questions on Arithmetic, HCF-LCM Algebra: Equations, Inequalities, Log, Linear Equations, HCF-LCM, Quadratic Equation, Absolute Value, Logarithm, Other questions on Algebra Geometry & Mensuration: Lines, Triangles, Angles, Polygons, Circles-radius, circumference, diameter, chord, Arc, Tangent, Square & Rectangles, Cubes, 3 Dimensional Figures, Pythagoras Theorem, Base Angle Theorem, Longest Side Theorem, Quadrilaterals, Parallelogram, Rhombus, Trapezium, Cuboid, Cylinder, Cone, Sphere Modern Math: Permutation & Combination, Probability, Coordinate Geometry, Progression-Arithmetic, Geometric, Harmonic, Relationship, Set Theory, Venn Diagrams

IBSAT Preparation 2025

IBSAT preparation requires a planned approach. You should understand the exam pattern, syllabus, and then check your current level of preparation by taking IBSAT Mock Test. Then, improve your conceptual understanding by referring to right books and reading material. Here are more details for effectively prepare for IBSAT exam:

a) Understand the Exam Pattern and Syllabus: Know the exam pattern, including the number of questions, time allotted, and sections. Details are given in previous section.  

b) Identify Your Strengths and Weaknesses: Understand your strengths and areas where you need improvement. Take IBSAT Mock Test.

c) Create a Study Plan: Build a Strong Foundation in all the exam sections. Based on your performance, develop a study plan with time allocated for each section. Allocate more time to your weaker areas and verbal ability section which has a higher weightage.

e) Effective Test Taking Practice: Take regular mock tests to understand your preparedness and identify areas for improvement.

f) Last Minute Tips: Closer to exam day, focus only on your strong areas and revise key concepts. Avoid studying new topics. Stay confident and sleep well before exam.

IBSAT Admit Card 2025

IBSAT 2025 Admit card will be released by ICFAI Foundation Hyderabad a few days before the IBSAT exam date. The process how to download IBSAT Admit Card is detailed as under. After clicking on IBSAT website, you need to take the following path from home page:

  • Go to Registration, keep the cursor at registration but do not click
  • Below the registration icon, there is another icon of Admit card

ICFAI Business School (IBS) Colleges MBA Admission 2026 Process

IBS MBA colleges MBA admission process consists of following steps:

  • Participate in Selection Briefings & PI Round conducted by ICFAI for Admission. Check details below.
  • Check your final admission offer and pay acceptance fee

IBSAT final selection process comprises Micro Presentation and Personal Interview. 

IBS Applications for Admission 2026 are open to all CAT/ XAT / NMAT by GMAC™/ GMAT™ applicants having valid scores. The scores from 2023 onwards are accepted. The eligible scores are mentioned as below. 

  • GMAT™ score of 500 and above
  • CAT score of 60 percentile and above
  • NMAT by GMAC™ score of 150 and above
  • XAT score of 60 percentile and above

The NMAT applicants, even if they selected ICFAI Business School (IBS) as a choice after their NMAT test, must still apply to IBS separately by paying the INR 1800 application fee, like all other applicants. 

The XAT-2026 applicants can submit their IBS application now and update their score once it's received in January 2026. 

IBS Selection Process 2026

The IBS selection process is scheduled from 14 to 22 February 2026. The selection process will consist of a personal interview and a micro-presentation. The micro presentation topics will be general in nature and chosen randomly from a pool of 1–100. An option to choose one more topic will be provided in case the candidate is not comfortable with the first selected topic.

Frequently Asked Questions

A: The personal interview is the final stage in the selection process. The interview panel members are Directors, Deans, Senior Faculty Members and Alumni. The duration of the interview for each candidate will be for 10 minutes. The interview panel will focus on assessing the attitude, aptitude and aspirations of the applicant besides evaluate the candidate’s general knowledge, communication skills, clarity of thought, expression and aptitude for a career in management.
A: A topic will be announced to a group of 8 – 10 candidates for discussion. The candidates will be given 15 minutes to express their views. After group discussion each candidate will be given an opportunity to summarize his/her opinion in a minute. The group discussion aims to evaluate the candidate’s expression, initiative communication, analytical skills and behaviour in group.
A: IBS selection process comprises two components- Group Discussion and Personal Interview
A: Selection process will be conducted in February-March 2025 at 9 IBS campuses i.e. IBS Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Dehradun, Jaipur & IBS Head Office. If situation does not permit to conduct process at campuses, ONLINE selection process will be conducted.
A: No there is no management quota or NRI quota.
A: Application form (MBA/PGPM 2025-2026 Broacher) may be purchased either through Online or Offline. The cost of the application form (PGPM Bulletin) was Rs 1800 last year. Online registration for the programs is available on website admissions.ibsindia.org. Offline Applications are available at IBS Marketing Branches. On purchase of application form you will receive a scratch card containing application number and password.
A: According to experts, you can prepare for IBSAT alongwith other exams by synchronizing your preparation. Besides you can self prepare or join some good coaching also. Two to three months are considered good time to prepare for IBSAT
A: IBSAT is a moderate difficulty exam and is easier than CAT, XAT, CMAT, NMAT.
