ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test (IBSAT) 2026 is the national-level MBA entrance exam conducted by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), a deemed-to-be-University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. IBSAT 2026 is scheduled tentatively for December 26 and 27, 2026 (the last weekend of December) and is delivered as a remote-proctored online test that candidates take from home. The 2-hour exam comprises 140 MCQs across 4 sections (Verbal Ability 50, Reading Comprehension 30, Quantitative Aptitude 30, Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation 30) with +1 mark per correct answer and no negative marking. A valid IBSAT 2026 score gives access to MBA and PGPM admissions across 9 IBS campuses: IBS Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Dehradun and Jaipur. What is IBSAT Exam?

The IBSAT Full Form is ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test. IBSAT Entrance Exam 2026 will be conducted by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (a deemed to be University) and the exam will have a test duration of 2 hours. IBSAT is an Internet based exam that can be taken from home. You can take IBSAT from home for admission to the MBA/Ph.D programs offered at IBS Hyderabad & Bangalore; MBA Program at IBS Dehradun & Jaipur and PGPM program at all other 5 ICFAI Business Schools. IBSAT Exam pattern includes sections on Quantitative Techniques, Data Interpretation, Data Adequacy, Vocabulary, Analytical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension. IBSAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

IBSAT eligibility criteria, as published by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), are as follows:

  • Candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognised university
  • Minimum 15 years of formal education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern)
  • Final-year graduation candidates are eligible, subject to producing the final degree certificate before the admission cut-off date
  • No age limitand no cap on the number of attempts
  • English must be the medium of instruction at graduation. Candidates not meeting this must submit TOEFL/NELT/IELTS scores. 

IBSAT 2026 Application Fee

The IBSAT 2026 application fee is Rs 1,800 for all categories. There is no fee concession for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates. Payment modes accepted are credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI. The fee is non-refundable.

There are usually 3 RC passages of about 500-600 words and 1 RC Passage of about 400-500 words followed by 8 and 6 questions respectively. Most questions are directly related to the RC passages and answers to them can be easily located in the RC passage itself
Quantitative Aptitude    The questions are designed to assess the quantitative aptitude of candidates who have basic understanding of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration, modern maths. IBSAT 2026 Preparation

IBSAT exam preparation requires a planned approach. You should understand the exam pattern, syllabus, and then check your current level of preparation by taking IBSAT Mock Test. c) Create a Study Plan: Build a Strong Foundation in all the exam sections. Based on your performance, develop a study plan with time allocated for each section. Allocate more time to your weaker areas and verbal ability section which has a higher weightage.

d) Refer to the Right Study Material: Use standard MBA prep books such as Word Power Made Easy (Verbal), Arun Sharma's CAT Quantitative Aptitude and Arun Sharma's Data Interpretation (DI), alongside IBSAT-specific practice material from ibsindia.org.

e) Effective Test Taking Practice: Take regular IBSAT Mock Test to understand your preparedness and identify areas for improvement

  • Go to Registration, keep the cursor at registration but do not click
  • Below the registration icon, there is another icon of Admit card
  • Click on Admit card and the login window will open. Read the details how to download IBSAT hall ticket before proceeding further
  • Enter your IBSAT application number and date of birth to get access to download IBSAT Admit card
  • You will be directed to the IBSAT admit card download from where you will be able to download your IBSAT Hall Ticket

IBS MBA colleges MBA admission process consists of following steps:

IBSAT final selection process comprises Micro Presentation and Personal Interview. 

In addition to IBSAT scores, ICFAI IBS MBA Admission 2026 are open to all CAT/ XAT / NMAT by GMAC™/ GMAT™ applicants having valid scores. The eligible scores are mentioned as below. 

  • GMAT score of 500 and above
  • CAT score of 60 percentile and above
  • NMAT by GMAC score of 150 and above
  • XAT score of 60 percentile and above

The NMAT applicants, even if they selected ICFAI Business School (IBS) as a choice after their NMAT test, must still apply to IBS separately by paying the application fee, like all other applicants. 

IBS Selection Process 2027

The IBS selection process will be scheduled in February 2027. The selection process will consist of a personal interview and a micro-presentation. The micro presentation topics will be general in nature and chosen randomly from a pool of 1–100. An option to choose one more topic will be provided in case the candidate is not comfortable with the first selected topic.
