As per the last year CAT result download process, you need to take following steps to check CAT 2023 Results and to download your CAT 2023 Rank Card when the CAT score card 2023 is released:

5.1 Step-1: Go to the CAT website to login and begin the CAT result 2023 score card download process.  To download your CAT Exam Result 2023, enter your registered CAT id and password at ‘Login For Score Card CAT 2023’ window on CAT official iimcat website, as shown in the image below:

5.2 Step-2: Now you can view and download your CAT 2023 score card. Please remember that after downloading your CAT 2023 Rank card, you should take print of the CAT Result 2023 as it contains your scaled and percentile scores. Below is shared the actual CAT score card image:

CAT 2023 Score card by means of SMS on your mobile phone will also be sent by IIMs after CAT Result declaration. The glimpse of your score card contains your sectional and overall score & percentile 

Following are the important CAT result related instructions issued by IIMs for the benefit of CAT 2023 exam takers regarding the CAT 2023 score card download:

• Only candidates who have taken the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 are entitled to receive the score card. The print-out of the score card is for your information pertaining to CAT 2023. You will not receive score card by email or by post.
• The Scaled Scores of Section-1 (Verbal Ability & reading Comprehension); Section-2 (Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning) and Section-3 (Quantitative Ability) are not additive. The Overall Scaled Scores is based on the total raw scores earned by the candidate.
• Percentile refers to percentage of candidates who receive score less than or equal to the score obtained by the candidate.
• IIMs and Non-IIM member institutions independently decide how to use CAT 2023 scores on the basis of their own selection process. The scores are to be used only for selecting the candidates to their Post Graduate / Fellow Programme(s) in Management.
• All queries regarding post-CAT 2023 selection process must be directed to respective IIMs. CAT Centre will not answer post-CAT related queries.
• CAT 2023 score is valid until 31st December 2024 and is subject to meeting the minimum eligibility marks in the qualifying examination.

Immediately after CAT results are announced, the top 3-4 IIMs like IIM Calcutta, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow announce the shortlist of candidates for final selection process. Each IIM sends interview letters to the shortlisted candidates directly on email/registered/speed post. The criteria for shortlisting vary across IIMs.  

The top B-schools accepting CAT Result 2023 include:

9.1 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs): 21

There are 21 IIMs which will accept CAT 2023 exam score for MBA admission 2024 as below. CAT cut off in IIMs go from 80 to 99 percentile.

9.2 Other Top B-Schools Accepting CAT
Apart from 21 IIMs the top B-schools accepting CAT result 2023 are FMS Delhi, SPJIMR Mumbai, IITs, MDI Gurgaon, IMI New Delhi, IMT Ghaziabad, FORE New Delhi, TAPMI Manipal, K J Somaiya, Great Lakes, GIM Goa, LBSIM New Delhi among others. CAT cut off in these B-schools also go high from 85 %ile to 98%ile.

9.3 When will IIMs Release Shortlists for PI Round 2024?
After CAT result release, while IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta release their shortlists in a day or two from the date of CAT result declaration, IIM Lucknow, Indore, Kozhikode, Shillong will release their shortlists in one week from the CAT result date. IIM Kashipur, Raipur, Ranchi, Tiruchirappalli, Udaipur will announce their shortlists for CAP round in February 2024. IIM Rohtak, which does not participate in CAP round, will release shortlist separately in a fortnight from the date of CAT result release.
