CAT Official Mock Test 2024 has a total duration of 120 minutes for with 40 minutes allotted for each for three sections. CAT official mock test 2024 pattern is same as CAT 2023 exam pattern. The official mock test has three sections as under:

For an MCQ, a candidate will be given 3 (three) marks for a correct answer, -1 (minus one) mark for a wrong answer and a 0 (zero) mark for an un-attempted question.

For a Non-MCQ, a candidate will be given 3 (three) marks for a correct answer, and a 0 (zero) mark for a wrong answer as well as for an un-attempted question. There will be no negative mark for a wrong answer in a Non-MCQ.

No, it is not necessary that CAT 2024 exam pattern will be same as Official CAT Mock Test 2024 pattern. Clarifying this point, CAT website iimcat.ac.in website states: “The objective of this Mock Test is not to disclose the exam pattern for CAT 2024 and the number, type and pattern of questions, as well as sequence and timing of sections in the Mock Exam are only indicative and these are subject to variations from year to year as decided by the CAT authorities.” 

Another important difference between Official CAT Mock Test and CAT 2024 exam is that for the Mock Link, IIMs have enabled Submit button for each section. This is to help a candidate go to the next section even before the allotted time of 40 minutes is over. In the actual exam, a candidate can go to the next section ONLY after 40 minutes.
