Great Lakes Chennai earns AACSB Accreditation; Takes Indian Tally to 22 B-schools Joining this Elite Club
The festive season 2023 has brought in good news for Indian management education. Another Indian B-school – Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai has earned the prestigious AACSB International Accreditation. With these accreditations, the total number of Indian B-schools with AACSB Accreditation has gone up to 22. AACSB Accreditation provides a framework of international standards on which B-Schools assess the quality of their education.

The AACSB accreditation places Great Lakes in an elite league of leading educational institutions globally. With these accreditations, the total number of Indian B-schools with AACSB Accreditation has gone up to 22. AACSB Accreditation provides a framework of international standards on which B-Schools assess the quality of their education.
The new accreditation has recently been announced by AACSB International. Sharing the news with MBAUniverse.com, Prof. Suresh Ramanathan, Dean, Great Lakes Institute of Management, said, “The AACSB accreditation further reinforces our commitment to achieving world-class standards of scholarship and pedagogy with the aim of having a lasting impact on business as well as society."
Earlier, BIMTECH Greater Noida, Rajagiri Business School Cochin, K J Somaiya Institute of Management Mumbai and IMI New Delhi were amongst the few global B-schools that had earned the AACSB Accreditation. Now there are four IIMs with AACSB Accreditation and the total number of Indian B-schools with AACSB Accreditation has gone up to 22 from 21 earlier. A total of 950+ institutions across 59 countries and territories have earned AACSB accreditation in business.
