Higher Importance to Academics Improved Gender Diversity
IIM Indore awarded higher importance to academics and communication skills of the candidates instead of merely on CAT 2018 exam scores in admission 2019. The admission criteria for flagship PGP 2019-21 at IIM Indore awarded only 20% weightage to CAT 2018 scores and 76% weight to Class 10 & 12 marks. Rest went to other parameters in shortlisting for PI-WAT stage.

Among all the IIMs who had announced their admission criteria and process for the 2019-21 batch, IIM Indore remained the front runner in drastically reducing the weightage to CAT 2018 exam score in its admission process.
