One of the six top IIMs, IIM Kozhikode has changed substantially its Admission Criteria 2020 for its PGP 2020-22 batch. CAT 2019 cut offs and weightages to CAT score as well as to other parameters in admission 2020 have been reallocated. Till 2017, IIM Kozhikode awarded weightage to bachelor’s degree marks but the same has been discontinued now. A new component ‘Resume’ with 10% weight was added last year to the final selection process components. As against last year admission criteria, weightage to female candidates has also been restored for admission 2020.

Falling in line with top IIMs, IIM Kozhikode has reduced the CAT 2019 weightage to 45% as against the earlier awarded high weightage of 75%, slashing substantially it’s one of the biggest shortlisting parameters.

While in the shortlisting for final selection round, CAT 2019 score will carry a weight of 45%, the final admission round will award a weight of only 35% to CAT 2019 percentile score as against 40% last year and the admission offer will be more dependent upon PI/WAT & Resume which carry the 65% weight.

IIM Kozhikode eligibility criteria have made it mandatory for CAT 2019 aspirants to score a minimum of 85 overall (Reduced from 90 last year) and 75 sectional (Reduced from 80 last year) percentile in CAT 2019 to be eligible for shortlisting for final admission round.

The Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) is the flagship programme offered by IIM Kozhikode. It is a 2 year, full time residential programme.

  3. If the candidate is awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the equivalence to determine PGP admission eligibility would be based on the equivalence certified by the institution/university from where the bachelor's degree is obtained. In case the institution/university does not have any scheme for converting the CGPA into equivalent marks, the equivalence would be established by IIM Kozhikode by dividing the obtained CGPA by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant by 100 to confirm the Admission eligibility of the candidate.

Such a candidate must produce a certificate from the principal/head of the department/ registrar/director of the institution/university certifying that the candidate is currently in the final year or is awaiting final results and has obtained at least 50% marks or equivalent (45% in case of the candidate belonging to SC/ST/PwD category) based on latest available grades/marks.
