One Year MBA Admission Process: Exams, GMAT Scores, Last Date

The one year MBA admission process varies from IIM to IIM and also for other top MBA colleges offering one year MBA with different nomenclatures. However, the eligibility criteria for one year MBA admission among top MBA colleges have one thing in common which is graduation with high percentage of marks as minimum qualification and professional experience after completing graduation.

Top one year MBA entrance exams and the admission process in top MBA colleges like IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, ISB, XLRI, SPJIMR, MDI also require a minimum GMAT/GRE score with minimum eligibility of a graduate degree with 50% marks or equivalent along with professional or entrepreneurial experience of 5 years. 

The one year MBA admission process varies from institution to institution. Most top IIMs and XLRI plan their admission process starting June/July, and ending in December/January, as their new Batch starts from April. One Year MBA process for ISB and Masters’ Union is generally open till February/March. Some B-schools like SPJIMR start their batch in August/September and hence have their one year MBA admission process open till June/July or so.

Common Admission Criteria for most top MBA program are:

• A graduate degree
• Good GMAT/GRE/CAT score
• Quality Work Experience, varying from 1 years to 10 years.

Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of the qualifying test score such as GMAT/GRE & the overall profile of the candidate. After short listing the candidates, final selection process comprises various attributes such as personal interview, statement of purpose, written ability test and letter of recommendation which are evaluated before making final admission offer to the programme.
