XAT Hall Ticket 2018: Admit Card Download starts at 6PM today; check your details

XAT Hall ticket 2018 was to be released by XLRI by 6PM on December 27, 2017. This message was also running on XAT 2018 website. However, it appears that due to technical reasons the XAT Admit Card could not be made available for download by XLRI. Since this will be the first online XAT exam, and a good increase in registration number which has reached 92000 for XAT 2018 must be the main reasons behind the short delay in XAT Admit card. XAT 2018 aspirants are advised to have patience as the Admit card will be out soon after due checking and verification at XLRI end. 

XLRI will release XAT Hall Ticket 2018 at 6PM on December 27, 2017 with the facility to download XAT 2018 Admit Card from its website online XAT. The sources at XLRI have informed that XAT hall ticket 2018 will be available for download around 6PM today.

The XAT 2018 Hall ticket was earlier to be issued on December 20, then the date to release the XAT 2018 Admit card was shifted by a week to December 27. The XAT 2018 aspirants have been visiting the XAT 2018 website since morning today to get a glimpse of their XAT hall ticket so that they can move ahead with the XAT Admit card download process immediately to avoid the delay in Hall ticket download due to heavy rush on XAT website.

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is conducted by XLRI for the past 60 years for admission to 150+ MBA colleges including XLRI, SPJIMR, IMT, XIMB, TAPMI, GIM, Great Lakes, LIBA, BIMTECH among others.

XAT 2018 Hall Ticket: Download from XAT website-key facts
XLRI has clarified that it will make available the XAT 2018 admit cards for download on the XAT 2018 exam website with effect from December 27, 2017.

• XAT 2018 aspirants can download their respective admit card after login with XAT registered Id and password from 6PM onwards on December 27.
• The facility to download the XAT 2018 admit Card is to close on December 31, 2017 unless there is explicit announcement by XLRI to extend the admit card download date upto exam day. 
• There is no facility to send your XAT Admit card in hard copy.
• Ensure to take all the steps and follow all the checks that each and everything is correctly mentioned in your XAT 2018 Admit card.
• Anything missing or anything wrongly mentioned in the XAT Admit card may bleak your chances on admission in top B-schools.
• Your XAT 2018 Admit card will not be sent on your mail. XLRI Jamshedpur, the XAT 2018 conducting B-school has clarified that the admit card will only be available on the XAT Website when you log on using your XAT 2018 User ID.  

Important details in XAT Hall Ticket 2018
You must check and verify following details in XAT Hall ticket 2018:

• Your XAT Registration number
• Your name, date of birth, as you entered at the time of XAT application submission
• Name & Address of allotted exam centre, time & date of XAT 2018 exam
• Important exam day instructions for XAT 2018 exam. 
• Required documents at exam centre like your photo id proof in original, affixing photo on XAT Admit card among others. Please read the instructions given on the XAT 2018 Admit card carefully and carry only the required documents to the exam centre.
• In your own interest, you should visit the XAT 2018 test centre one day before and understand how to reach there, time consumed in travelling and other details to avoid last minute panic on the exam day.

How to download XAT Hall ticket 2018
Since the XAT Admit card will be released on XAT 2018 website at 6PM today and no hard copy of the same will be sent to you, it is very important that you should not only know the right process how to view and download the XAT 2018 Hall ticket, but should immediately report the anomaly, if you find any, in your personal details in XAT Admit card. 

• There will be a separate icon on XAT 2018 site with the title ‘Download Admit Card’ with a flashing sign ‘new’.
• XAT 2018 aspirant is required to click on it and it will direct you to the XAT Admit card page. 
• You will have to login with you XAT registration ID and XAT password to view and download the XAT 2018 Admit Card.

How to get the XAT hall ticket discrepancy rectified

One week delay in release of XAT Admit card has already narrowed down the gap between the XAT Admit card date and XAT 2018 exam date which is on January 7, from 18 days to 11 days. So in case of any discrepancy in the details in your XAT 2018 Admit card, you are left with very short time to get it rectified.

• You should check that you are using correct XAT registered password.
• If you have forgot your XAT login password, please go to the XAT Log in page and click on 'Forgot Password' to get your password. 
• If still you do not receive the XAT 2018 Admit Card on December 27 despite login with your XAT 2018 registered ID and Password, please immediately write to [email protected] citing the details like registered XAT 2018 ID.
• You may also call XAT 2018 helpline over telephone between 9AM to 8PM to get the issue resolved.

Important Dos & Don’ts

1. Please remember not to logon with your mail id but to log on to XAT 2018 site with your XAT 2018 registered user id and password to get access to XAT Hall Ticket
2. Once you are able to view it and are satisfied that all the information contained in it is correct, download and save it in a folder.
3. It will be better to take 2 prints of your XAT 2018 admit card. Keep one with your other mandatory documents which you will have to carry to the exam centre and other with you so that in case of any query you may instantly refer to it.
4. XAT 2018 Admit Card is a mandatory document and is required to appear in the exam. You must bring a print out of your Admit Card to the exam centre with your photo fixed on it in the given space.

First Online XAT in 60 years: Key facts
XAT 2018 on January 7, 2018 is the first online computer based exam in the history of XAT.The exam will be held as a single session exam of 3 hours 35 minutes duration consisting of 5 sections namely:

1. Verbal and Logical Ability;
2. Decision Making;
3. Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation;
4. General Knowledge;
5. Essay Writing.

• Out of the 5 sections in XAT exam, 4 XAT sections will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
• Essay Writing section will be of descriptive type and will also be computer based test
• Scores in first 3 sections will be counted for percentile calculation
• Scores of General Knowledge or General Awareness will not be taken into account for determining the merit position

Since XAT 2018 is an online exam, you should not carry any prohibited stationery items mentioned in your XAT Hall Ticket. Apart from this, calculators, electronic watches, any other digital or electronic devices are not allowed inside the testing room on XAT exam day.     

XAT 2018 will be conducted from 47 centers all across India and 2 international cities of Dubai and Kathmandu.
