SDMIMD Placement 2018: 50 companies visit for recruitment; 35% placement goes to BFSI

Placement 2018 at SDMIMD Mysore is on course and so far 50 companies have visited the campus to recruit the students of PGDM 2016-18 batch. Leaping ahead in the placement process for the eligible PGDM batch 2016-18, SDMIMD Mysore has surpassed many top B-schools in successful placement with a rising trend in placement packages.

90% Students Placed
With two more months to go for the completion of the PGDM 2016-18 program, already close to 90% students are placed at SDMIMD.

It may be noted that number of PGDM institutes have not been able to begin their placement 2018 process till date whereas SDMIMD is on the verge of concluding its placement 2018.

Average salary: Rs.6.85 lakhs
The 90% students at SDMIMD have been placed with an average salary going up to Rs.6.85 lakhs per annum. According to SDMIMD, “It has been a stupendous performance thus far by our students, wherein the Institute has seen marquee companies visiting the campus and vying for our talents.”

IT Sector
TCS, Infosys, Oracle and SLK Software are among the top recruiters from IT sector.

Investment Banking, Financial Services
Ujjivan SF Bank, Suryoday SF Bank, Bharat Financial Inclusion and Samastha Microfinance are among the top recruiters from small finance bank/ micro-finance.

HDFC Ltd., Mahindra Finance, HDFC AMC and ICICI Securities are the top recruiters from financial services.

Financial & Equity Research
Morgan Stanley, Moody’s, Northern Trust and State Street are the top recruiters from financial and equity research area.

FMCG
L’Oreal, Berger and Marico are among the top recruiters from FMCG sector

Manufacturing
TTK Prestige and Sundaram Clayton are the top recruiters from Manufacturing Sector at SDMIMD Placement 2018.

Consulting/Analytics
Ducker Worldwide, Feedback Consulting and Bridge i2i are among the top recruiters from Consulting/ Analytics

Sectoral Placement
SDMIMD students have grabbed placements in almost all the sectors. The sector wise placement details are as under:

BFSI: 35% Placement offers
BFSI sector has hired highest number of 35% students of the PGDM 2016-18 batch.

IT: 33% Placement offers
Information Technology (IT) sector is close second with 33% placement offers.

Other sectors include Equity & Financial Research (10%); Investment Banking (5%); FMCG (4%); Consulting (3%); Manufacturing (3%); E-Business (2%); others (5%).

SDMIMD Mysore is the only B-school in India offering PGDM with dual accreditation of EFMD-EPAS and ACBSP. The admission process for 2 years full time PGDM 2018-20 batch at SDMIMD is open at a moderate application fee of Rs.1250/-.
