XAT 2014 registration process enters last week
The last date of the registration for XAT 2014 is fast approaching as the registration process for the XLRI Aptitude Test will end on December 2, 2013.
The last date of the registration for XAT 2014 is fast approaching as the registration process for the XLRI Aptitude Test will end on December 2, 2013. Earlier the last date of the registration for XAT 2014 was November 22, 2013 but it was extended to December 2, 2013. The exam will be held on January 5, 2014.
XAT has extended good opportunity for the aspirants who couldnt complete their registration process by November 22, 2013. Now they have few more days to register themselves. In view of Prof. S.K. Agarwal, expert and mentor for MBA preparation candidates shouldnt wait for the last date and must register as early as possible since some technical snags in on line registration process might appear on the last day due to heavy rush on the site.

XAT is conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur for admission to its various management programmes. A total of 116 institutes including XLRI, XIMB, LIBA, SP JAIN, TAPMI, XIMR, GIM, XIME, BIMTECH,IMT-Ghaziabad and many others also accept theXAT scores.
XAT is a common test for admission into academic programmesofXLRI and XAT Associate Member Institutes.The candidates interested in XLRI or any other XAT associate member institutes need to register and apply separately.
XAT 2014 will have the same pattern like that of XAT 2013 consisting of two parts to be attempted during three hours duration from 10.30 A.M. to 1.30 P.M. XAT 2014 Exam Pattern
XAT 2014 will again have two separate sections on General Knowledge and essay writing although the marks of these sections will not be used for determining the percentile and cut off at first stage of selection. But the same are used byXLRIand some other Associate Member institutes at the time of final selection.
As far as theadmissions in XLRIare concerned, candidates may apply for more than one programme in the institute. Those who apply for multiple programmes may be called for multiple interviews and/or group discussions.
The selection criteria for different programmes may differ depending on the nature of the programme.
According to XLRI admission Chairperson Professor Vishwa Ballabh a good mix of students having backgrounds of social sciences, engineering, medical and other disciplines will be able to make it to the XLRI as last year about 30% candidates were non-engineers. He advised to the students that, the paper is discriminatory there are good and simple questions in mathematics which can be done by any intelligent candidate. One should be selective in attempting the questions.
