IBM inaugurates Business Analytics Lab at IFIM Business School

International business machine corporation (IBM) has inaugurated the Business Analytics Lab at the Institute of Finance and International Management - IFIM Business School, Bangalore. The objective is to enable the future business managers with skills to succeed in any business, industry or function they choose to be in.

In this Lab, IBM has provided the relevant software and training using various industry cases to the faculty members of IFIM Business School.

The Lab was inaugurated by Yeo Hwee Lee, Director Software Services and Support, Growth Market Unit, IBM for Business Transformation (CEBT) Program.

On this occasion, Ms. Hwee Lee addressed the faculty and students and shared her perspective on the power of information and the use of software tools that are critical for smarter business outcomes. She also talked about the skill scenario currently plaguing the industry and IBMs commitment in bridging this gap by addressing the increasing need for multi-disciplinary skills by complementing the existing management education offering with the CEBT courses.

Mr. Sanjay Padode, Secretary, Centre for Developmental Education, IFIM, said, in todays world students need to be equipped with the knowledge and skills that will make them continuously employable.
