XAT 2016: OMR sheet uploaded by XLRI before result for every student; website crashes

Moving forward with the preparation to announce the final XAT 2016 result and in an attempt to avoid any grumbling of the test takers after declaration of result, XLRI has enabled on XAT 2016 website the scanned copies of OMR sheets filled in by the individual candidates who appeared in the exam on January 3, 2016. Candidates can now view and download their own answer sheets reflecting the correct and incorrect answers to all the 78 questions divided in 3 sections which are responsible to arrive at the percentile score for next stage shortlisting. The XAT 2016 result is proposed to be declared by January 31, 2016.

Overloaded Website crashes
Thousands of candidates trying to view and download their individual answer sheets by entering their XAT 2016 registration ID and password have been hitting the XAT 2016 website in vain. The XAT 2016 website appears to have been overloaded and crashed due to heavy rush of the aspirants and has not opened since afternoon on January 22, 2016. This is despite the fact that XAT 2016 have much less a number of candidates than they were present in CAT 2015.

Number of candidates trying to get to their answer sheets are only in thousands whereas there were 1.80 lakh candidates who were hitting CAT 2015 website after result was declared. It seems XAT 2016 website has not been designed and updated with proper maintenance to cope with the sudden increased rush of candidates.

Check the answers and assess yourself
The XAT 2016 website might get opened after a few hours, once the rush gets over. You can view and download your answer sheet which also carries your correct and incorrect answers and assess your percentile in the exam.

Process began last year
Number of candidates were aggrieved with their scores in XAT last year. This prompted XLRI to make XAT more transparent. The test answers for all the candidates were made available in XAT 2015. Once the process started, XLRI has followed it this year also and has enabled the Individual answer sheets of all the candidates who can view and download the same.
XAT 2016 is the gateway to XLRI, SPJIMR, XIMB, IMT and other top rated B-schools. With the result in offing candidates after checking their expected scores may take decision which B-school they would get after declaration of XAT 2016 result.
