IIM Amritsar and IIM Gaya announce PI schedule; last date to apply closes today

PI round at IIM Amritsar and IIM Gaya for the candidates receiving call letters from IIMC for admission in the 2 IIMs and opted for Bangalore and Mumbai as interview centers will be conducted duringMay 6 to May 10, 2016. The last date to complete and submit the online application form closes today on April 26, 2016.

How to register and apply IIMs accept only CAT scores. Accordingly you need to enter your CAT User ID and the Email ID for registration. Then you will receive an email consisting of a password for filling-in the Application Form. The form is short and can be completed in a few minutes.

2 step application process; complete by EOD today You need to enter your CAT User ID and the Password received after Registration in Steps 1 and 2. When you are logged in, your data (Name, Gender, Category, Email, Mobile number, CAT Total Score) will appear on the screen.

Enter academic record Next step is to enter your Class 10 and Class 12 aggregate percentage marks. For computing the percentage of marks obtained in Class 10 and Class 12, the aggregate marks of all subjects that appear in the mark sheet/grade sheet would be considered irrespective of whether the Board considers them for calculation of percentage.

Enter work experience Please enter your work experience till March 31, 2016 in completed months. Only managerial work experience after graduation will be considered. Training/Project work/work done as an integral part of curricular requirement will not be considered.

Preferred interview city needs to be selected while fillin in the form. The last step is to press the SUBMIT button. You will receive an acknowledgement after you have submitted your Application Form.

Please note that any false information will result in cancellation of your candidature at any stage of the admission process and even after securing the final admission at IIM Amritsar and/or IIM Bodh Gaya. Both IIM Amritsar and IIM BodhGaya have already participated in WAT & PI process coordinated by IIM Kashipur in the month of February-March 2016 for 9 IIMs. Now IIM Calcutta has sent call letters to those candidates who opted for either of these 2 IIMs.

Both IIM Amritsar and IIM Gaya started operation in 2015 with their maiden PGP 2015-17 batch. Both the IIMs have an intake of 60 students. Fewer students opted for both these IIMs to take admission in their maiden batch. It is expected that the number of candidates taking admission in IIM Amritsar and IIM Gaya would increase this year.

IIM Amritsar is operating its activities from the transit campus located inside the Punjab Institute of Technology, Government Polytechnic Compound till its own infrastructure and campus is setup and ready for use. The facilities consist of classrooms, recreational space, activity rooms, library, computer and sports facilities. The transit campus is located close to Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) Campus. The permanent campus of IIM Amritsar is proposed to come up at a site near Manawala on Amritsar-Jalandhar GT Road in60acres of land area. IIM Kozhikode will mentor all activities at IIM Amritsar till it moves to its permanent campus (about 3 years later), or IIM Amritsar is able to handle these activities entirely on its own, whichever is earlier. IIM Gaya is mentored by IIM Calcutta and is operating from the rented campus at Magadh University, BodhGaya in Bihar. The classes of IIM Gaya are conducted in the transit campus of the Magadh Universitys directorate of distance education (DDE) building. 90 hostel rooms at IIM Gaya have been provided for accommodation. The Permanent campus of IIM Gaya will also be built up at Magadh University Campus on 119 acres of land lying vacant in the premises.
