CAT 2016: Notification out tomorrow; Your Sunday will be full of thoughts and planning

CAT 2016 Notification: What to look for CAT 2016 exam is convened by IIM Bangalore and it is expected to be full of many changes and surprises making the forthcoming CAT 2016 as the first of its kind of examination during past many years. Are you eligible for CAT 2016? Check Notification The very first thing you will need to check in CAT 2016 notification tomorrow is the Key eligibility criteria to appear in the exam. Last year CAT allowed the candidates with 2 years of university recognized graduate degree in old pattern as eligible to appear in the exam.

If you are not eligible for CAT 2016, there is no need to go through the entire notification but if you are you must check today itself for the other information items also.

CAT 2016: Exam Dates & sessions If you have also applied to IIFT entrance exam or NMAT by GMAC, check whether the dates of CAT 2016 exam clash with other exams. If this is the case, you should immediately reschedule the dates for NMAT by GMAC.

Since CAT 2016 exam dates never collide with IIFT exam date, you may remain relaxed to that extent. However, you have to make your travel plan in the manner to appear in both the exams.

Opening of Registration for CAT 2016 Registration for CAT 2016 is to open in the 1st week of August. Please check for the exact date in the notification. Also note down the key documents you will need during the registration process. Instead of waiting for last few days, it is advisable to register for CAT 2016 as early as possible.

Noted down preferred IIMs and offered programmes There will be 20 IIMs alongwith their programmes mentioned in the notification. You will need to fill up the name of each IIM and its preferred programme in order of preference when you begin to complete the registration process.

Choosing the preferred programme and preferred IIM is a difficult process and consumes more of your time when you begin completing your registration form. Go through the IIM programmes mentioned in the CAT 2016 notification and note down your choice in order of preference so that you may quickly complete the registration process without any wastage of time.

Your preferred test cities CAT 2016 Notification will disclose how many test cities will be there for the exam. A choice of 4 preferred test cities is offered by IIMs. To check the list of test cities you are supposed to visit the CAT 2016 website and note down your preferred test cities.

If you do this exercise on Sunday tomorrow, you will save your time at the time of filling-up information in the CAT 2016 registration form. Please note you are supposed to complete the registration in 30 minutes else the site will close by default and you will have to login again to complete the details in the online registration form. In case the filled up information is not saved, the entire effort will go waste and you will to begin afresh.

Admission to around 5700 seats in 20 IIMs in 2017 will be offered on the basis of CAT 2016 scores and subsequent admission rounds.
