CAT 2016 Admit card download delay to impact your candidature; be careful

CAT 2016 Admit card download delay by 6 days may affect your candidature in case of any anomaly if appears in the admit card. The closer you are to CAT 2016 exam day, lesser becomes the chances to get the rectification done by CAT Centre within time. The result is total confusion and panic, unless prompt help is provided by the help desk. Ironically, during such time when there are problems in bulk, the helpdesk also finds itself helpless to attend the grievances quickly.

The CAT 2016 admit card was supposed to be issued on October 18 from 1PM onwards. Now it will be available for download from 1PM on October 24 onwards. The delay was announced by CAT 2016 convening IIM Bangalore on October 17.

Delay to impact candidature
Whatever you entered in your registration form would be reflected in your CAT 2016 Admit Card. In case of any slightest wrong entry while completing the personal details, choice of 4 test cities among others, you may face a little more difficulty than you anticipated. In case the CAT Centre 2016 refuses to carry out the necessary rectification, you may not be allowed to sit for the exam due to mismatch in spelling or may have to travel to some other destination to appear in CAT 2016 than what you thought would be the correct exam centre.

Verify details from Application summary
You must have received an automated email confirmation upon successful submission of your application. If you received the confirmation mail from CAT Centre 2016, all the details would be available in your application summary. Check each of the inserted details and if you find any one is wrong, immediately contact the help desk before it is too late.

Once the admit card is out on CAT 2016 website and available for download on October 24, there will be a great rush to CAT 2016 help desk and at that time it will be very difficult to get the things corrected in time.

Details to verify
The CAT 2016 Admit Card would contain your personal details along with other information. These personal details are very much important to verify and to confirm your candidature. You should therefore check whether you entered correctly your personal details like your name, fathers and mothers name, academic qualification among others.

Your CAT 2016 admit card is supposed to contain following information. Please check on October 24 while downloading your CAT 2016 admit card against each item

• -Your name as entered in the registration/application form of CAT 2016
• -Date of CAT 2016 exam along with slot of exam
• -Address of CAT 2016 test city and centre
• -User ID/registration number
• -PWD/DA status

Please remember that you will be eligible for an Admit Card only upon successful submission of online application form. IIM Bangalore has clarified that The admit card will be only available on the CAT Website when you log on using your CAT 2016 User ID. No hard copy of CAT 2016 Admit card will be sent to you.
