New IIM Common Admission Process (CAP) 2023 is being coordinated by IIM Udaipur. The registration process for CAP 2023 closed on Jan 22, 2023. The CAP 2023 process is being conducted in three phases from February 13 to March 4, 2023. Common Admission process or CAP 2023 is the final selection round for MBA admission 2023 in 9 new IIMs – namely, IIM Udaipur, IIM Tiruchirappalli, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Jammu, IIM Sambalpur and IIM Sirmaur. CAP 2023 is a single point selection process and is common for all the participating IIMs. Candidates are not required to separately appear in PI-WAT for each of the participating IIMs as the scores of CAP are applicable for all the participating IIMs.
After release of CAT 2022 exam result on December 21, 2022, IIM Udaipur has released complete details for IIM CAP 2023 round which has two main components - Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT). However, in the CAP 2023, there will be no WAT and the entire weightage will be given to Online Personal Interview round. Chandan Sakargayen, a Music and Photography lover and 126th rank holder in finals of National Cyber Olympiad 2018, cracked CAT 2021 with 99.61%ile and got admission offer from IIM Udaipur, IIM Trichy, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak and other IIMs, but preferred to join IIM Udaipur MBA 2022-24 batch instead of other top B-schools. A: For the interview, I brushed concepts from my graduation and area of interest. One should prepare 2-3 subjects thoroughly so that one can drive the interview in those directions. Keep reading the current affairs and general knowledge in and around you (Your city, state, stream etc)

A: The questions were based on the concepts from my graduation, current affairs, General knowledge of my state, hobbies, strength and weaknesses
Q: Was the CAP conducted Online? How was your experience?
A: Yes it was conducted Online. It was like a normal interview. Things were conducted very smoothly, although you might have to keep staring the screen for some time before you join
Q: Please share Tips for doing well in Online CAP Round?
A: Have something to eat and drink on your table, check all the technical equipment, and don’t panic if internet goes down.
Q: What is your message and tips for CAP 2023 Participatants?
A: One thing I would like to add would be that aspirants should know that the problem does not care about who you are, your profile etc. It just wants to be solved. So keep emotions aside and focus on finding a logical solution to the given problem. Rest everything will take care of itself.
Abhineet Singh: CAT 2021- 99.91%ile: IIM Udaipur MBA 2022-24 Batch
Abhineet Singh, coming from a small town Hathras in Uttar Pradesh, is an artist. He loves dancing, listening music, sketching natural scenery and cartoon characters and is a member of Footworx dance group of IIMU. He comes from a well educated family, his father is a professor of Computer Science and Engineering at M.M.M. Priya Garg: CAT 2021- 96.6%ile: IIM Udaipur MBA 2022-24 Batch
Priya Garg, a B.Sc (Hons) in Industrial Chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University and M.Sc in Chemistry from NIT Trichy, is a cartoon character and natural scenery lover. She was conferred University gold medal for achieving first rank in her batch. - Lastly, I appeared for numerous mock interviews and took feedback for improving myself.

A: The questions mainly revolved on around my family business and work experience. Later I was also asked some questions related to current affairs. The questions built on one another and tested depth of understanding.

A: My interview was conducted online. The experience was smooth but I had to wait almost 3 hours before my turn arrived!

A: Ensure that the equipment is in good condition and lighting is adequate. Also, have a backup internet connection.
Vinayak Prabhu S D: CAT 2021- 99.92%ile: IIM Udaipur MBA 2022-24 Batch
Vinayak Prabhu S D, a B.Tech from VIT AP University, is a fresher. Coming from a business family of Kodungallur, Thrissur, Vinayak loves Singing, Cooking and playing indoor sports like chess and foosball.
