National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CMAT 2024 Result with score card on 6 June at official CMAT exam website exams.nta.ac.in/CMAT/. The CMAT 2024 Result has been Released after completing the verification process of the objections raised on the official CMAT answer key. NTA conducted CMAT 2024 exam on May 15, 2024 in two shifts across the country and the result is released after completing the score normalization process for both the slots.

Your Rank in Order of Merit: Sectional Score Change the Position.
In case scores are same for more than one candidate in CMAT 2024 result, the merit position is arrived at based on sectional score preferences. For example, if more than one candidate have scored 250 marks, the candidate getting higher score in following sectional order has been considered and is ranked higher:

• Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation: Candidate with higher score is ranked higher
• Logical Reasoning: If QTDI scores are also equal, the higher scorer in LR is ranked higher
• Language Comprehension: Next section considered is Language Comprehension
• General Awareness: If the scores are equal in all the above sections, the GA sectional score is considered
• Innovation & Entrepreneurship: If the score in all the above 4 sections is equal, the higher score in this section has been considered for merit ranking

Process of Assigning CMAT Merit Rank, In Case of Same Score in All 5 Sections

• If more than one candidate has secured same ranking going by the above process, the same Rank is assigned to all of them but is displayed by sorting their names alphabetically
• The Rank of the subsequent candidate is then extended by the number of additional students having the same Rank. For example, if 3 students are at 25th Rank then subsequent student will be ranked as 28th.

NTA provides the facility to challenge the official CMAT answer key to all the test takers before the declaration of CMAT result. CMAT 2024 Final Answers: Released on June 3, 2024
NTA had released CMAT 2024 final answer keyson June3, 2024 for shift-1 and shift-2 question papers as below:

Shift-1: Two objections on Provisional Answer key have been accepted. Out of 100 questions, 2 questions have been dropped from the question paper. It implies that all the test takers willget benefitof 8 marks. NTA will now calculate the CMAT score without taking into account the marks of dropped2 questions

Shift-2: No Objection against shift 2 answer key found valid by NTA. As such provisional answer key for all the 100 questions are found correct.
With the release of CMAT final answer key the picture of CMAT score normalization and percentile calculation had become clear to a large extent. The score normalization process for CMAT 2024 shift one is based on 392 marks and for shift two it has taken into account marks for all the 100 questions. The candidates in shift-1 may have obtained higher percentile at lower marks as against the candidates who appeared in shift-2.
