IIFT 2018 exam for admission to MBA (IB) 2019 at the three IIFT campuses located at Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinada has taken off without any technical snag at 10AM across the 20 test cities in the country today on December 2, 2018. IIFT 2018 exam will offer admission opportunity to 420 seats at the Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh) campuses of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) – now awarded the status of a Deemed University. The exam is conducted in single session in paper-pen mode and is a 2 hours duration test. The fear of technical glitches and management problems at the test centres vanished when the IIFT 2018 entrance exam began at 10.00 AM in most of the regions in the country. No report so far has been received about any problem due to which IIFT 2018 exam couldn’t begin on time. Number of reports anticipated the technical glitches that could mark the beginning of IIFT 2018 exam but all such fears have been put to rest as the exam began with its pristine glory without any technical issues.

IIFT entrance exam is conducted by Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) for admission to its flagship MBA (IB) programme. The intake of students at IIFT is 420. MBA (IB) at IIFT is the one of the most sought after MBA programmes as it offers great learning experience, high national and international placements.
Candidates began to gather in good number at the IIFT 2018 exam venue in New Delhi in the cool morning around 8.45AM and were seen braving the cold breeze of North India although candidates were more comfortable in Southern and western parts of the country. Reporting time for IIFT 2018 exam is 60 minutes before the beginning of the exam.
Most of the test takers had gathered by 9 or 9.15AM and the gates of the exam centre were opened around 9AM. Some of the IIFT 2018 exam invigilation team members were seen coming even till 9.40AM. Candidates who arrived till 9.30 or even a little late were also frisked with security check and were allowed to enter the testing room.
More Testing rooms were arranged in the examination centre to accommodate more number of candidates. Initially a long queue got formed before the security check point. However, it continued moving and by 9.30 the handling became smooth. The on-set of winters also helped the candidates to continue standing and basking in Sun in the early morning without any complaints.
Outside the Test Centre
Candidates were seen discussing the fear of high difficulty level, strategy to manage time in the 2 hours exam, number of attempts that could fetch high score, anticipated technical glitches at the centre during the examination.
Keeping their fingers crossed, candidates moved on and were seen entering the testing room slowly. A few of them, knowing that no breaks would be allowed during the examination preferred to go to the restroom before entering the testing lab.
The doors of the testing room were closed at 9.45AM although a few candidates still continued pouring in. The invigilator in the testing lab read out the instructions and clearly advised the candidates not to look here and there during the exam.
