IIM Tiruchirappalli summer placement 2018: Records highest stipend Rs.2.50 lakhs; 17% rise in average with Girls grabbing higher average stipend

Just before a few days left for completion of final placement for the batch 2017-19, IIM Tiruchirappalli has concluded its summer placement with yet higher stipends offered by coveted recruiters for the participating batch of 157 students. The average stipend has gone up by 17 percent reinforcing the faith of recruiters in IIM Trichy.

In a historic development in the placement trends, female students at IIM Trichy have grabbed higher average stipend at Rs.76,579 as against overall average of Rs.62,019 for the batch while highest stipend has gone up to Rs.2.50 lakhs.
95 companies participated in the Summer Placement process for the batch 2017-19 and offered 157 roles to 157 students across the domains in Consulting, Finance, General Management, HR, Operations, Sales & Marketing, Strategy among others.

Along with some of the top regular recruiters like Dabur, L&T, Mahindra, Microsoft, SaintGobain, Yes Bank, the summer placement season for the batch 2017-19 at IIM Trichy witnessed participation from new recruiters like Avendus, Avalon Consulting, Godrej, DHL who offered variety of profiles in various domains.

The historic events of IIM Trichy shifting to its new spacious permanent campus and the passing of IIM Bill 2017 are the two major events which have further boosted the image of IIMs in general and IIM Trichy in particular and also contributed in attracting more new recruiters at the campus. According to IIM Trichy,With the institute shifting to its State-of-the-art permanent campus and the IIM Act 2017 coming into force, this year has been a historic one in its own right.

The Summer Placement process of PGP 2017-19 (Post Graduate Programme in Management) batch of IIM Trichy has been successfully completed with record breaking figures. Enthusiastic participation shown by the industry has reaffirmed their faith in the students of IIM Trichy.
IIM Trichy has a consistent record of excellent placement. The batch size of the two year post graduate programme in management at this highly ranked B school increased from 80 students in 2013 to 174 students who were found eligible for summer placement. Out of them 17 students opted out and all the 157 participating students got coveted offers from top recruiters.
