IIM Indore is conducting IPMAT 2024 Today on May 23, 2024 from 2.00 PM to 4.00 PM across 36 cities in India. If not done, Download your IPMAT 2024 Admit Card from IPMAT exam website immediately. IPMAT exam pattern consists of 90 questions divided into three sections. IIM Indore is conducting IPMAT 2024 on May 23, 2024 in single shift of 2 hours duration from 2 PM to 4 PM in 36 test cities for admission to 5 years Integrate Programme in Management offering BBA+MBA degree. IPMAT 2024 score will be accepted for BBA and IPM admission 2024 not only by IIM Indore but also by IIM Ranchi, IIF Kakinada, TAPMI Manipal and TAPMI Bengaluru, Nirma University, NALSAR University of Law among other top BBA colleges.

IPMAT 2024: Exam Day Preparation
Here are key IPMAT 2024 exam day tips:
- Read Exam Instructions Carefully: Candidates should read the Exam Instructions carefully as mentioned in theIPMAT question paperbefore starting the exam.
- Adhere to Section Time Limits: Candidates should stick to the sectional time limit. Each section of the IPMAT question paper is to be solved within 40 minutes. Keep a track of the time!
- Take Care of Negative Marking: Candidates should remember the negative marking. Skipping a question is better than wrong answers!
IPMAT 2024: Exam Day Guidelines
Read important IPMAT exam day instructions below:
- Organize Exam Documents:Before leaving for the IPMAT exam center, candidates must keep all the necessary documents.Check list below.
- Report before Time:It is required of candidates to arrive at the IPMAT testing location at least one hour prior to the exams start time. The candidate should make an effort to visit the exam centre prior to exam day if they are new to the city or are unsure of its location.
- Carry Water and Stationery:A transparent water bottle, hand sanitizer, and a ballpoint pen are required for candidates.
- Candidates are not permitted to engage in dishonesty or fraud of any kind. The candidate will not be allowed to take the exam if they are discovered.
IPMAT 2024 Exam DayList of Documents to Carry
Please keep following documents ready as these are required to at the exam center. Without them it may not be possible to enter IPMAT Exam Hall:
- Identification proof, such as an Aadhaar card, drivers licence, voter ID, PAN card, UID card, or college/university ID card)
- Two photocopies of the IPMAT Admit Card. Since candidates cannot take the exam without their IPMAT admit card, it is the most crucial document to have with them at all times.
IPMAT Test Taking Tips
Following exam taking tips will help you to improve your score and crack the IPMAT 2024 entrance exam:
Verbal Ability Section
Total questions in this section are 45 and all are MCQs. You have 40 minutes time to attempt this section. Experts and Past toppers suggestion following tips to crack this section:
Step-1: In the Verbal Ability section, first of all attempt the questions based on idioms and phrases, vocabulary, fill in the blanks. Complete the doable questions in 10 minutes. You need to solve around 10-12 such questions with accuracy. You can attempt these questions in first attempt as no guess work is required.
Step-2: In next 30 minutes for verbal ability section, attempt following questions:
- Grammar based questions - correction of errors in sentences
- Other such questions based on Vocabulary which could not be solved in first attempt
- Questions based onReading Comprehension passages
- Questions on Jumbled paragraphs
- Critical Reasoning questions
- You are required to solve around 12-15 questions on these topics with accuracyin 30 minutes.
Quantitative Ability
The QA section has two parts with MCQ type questions and Short Answer questions. The question split is: 30 MCQs to be solved in 40 Minutes; 15 Short Answer Questions to be solved in 40 Minutes. Experts suggest following test taking strategy for the QA section:
Step-1: You should spend around 45-50 minutes to solve Quant questions of MCQ and SA type, and adopt the following strategy:
- In the first attempt choose only most doable questions.
- Dont attempt such questions which are difficult or you are doubtful about their answers
- Target to solve around 25-30 questionswith 85-90% accuracy
- Attempt all SA questions as there is no fear of negative marking
Final Attempt round
- Now you are left with a little more difficult questions in Quant section
- By now you have also gone through the entire question paper
- You still have 30 minutes left to attempt the remaining test paper
- In next 10 minutes try to attempt as many questions as possible
- Pick and choose the questions in Quant section without spending too much time on a particular one
- Move on to maximize your attempts and avoid very difficult questions
- Target total 30-35 questions but do not feel bad if you are able to solve fewer questions
- At even less than 90% accuracy, you can expect to be shortlisted for personal interview
- Ensure that you have followed the instructions for attempting the exam
