GMAC modifies NMAT 2020 to Navigate COVID times; Exam starts on November 4 in both Test-center and At-home options; Check 5 big changes

After a wait of few weeks, Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has released NMAT by GMAC 2020 Exam dates and process. NMAT exam will be conducted from November 4, 2020 to January 30, 2021 with option to the candidates to take the test either at test centre or to take the online proctored exam from their home. Apart from 30+ Indian B-schools, students taking NMAT by GMAC exam 2020 can also apply to leading B-schools in Philippines, South Africa and Nigeria.
To navigate the uncertainties and shift in student mindset caused by COVID 19 pandemic, GMAC has made many modifications to NMAT 2020 Exam pattern and procedures. For instance, this year NMAT will have fewer questions and more time available per question; weightage for Quantitative Section has also been reduced. These changes have also been done to appeal to more non-engineers and women candidates.

Five Key Changes in NMAT Exam 2020
Following key changes have been introduced in NMAT 2020 exam:
1. Shorter Registration & Longer Testing Window
This year the NMAT registration window is shortened and Testing window will be longer than last year. While NMAT registration window has been reduced to 60+ days from 90+ days last year, the testing window has been extended to 88 days from 75 days last year.
