AIMA has released revised pattern for MAT 2024 December Exam. The number of questions in MAT 2024 December exam has been reduced from 200 to 150. The total duration for MAT 2024 December exam has also been reduced to 120 minutes. MAT Section Wise Weightage is same - 20% for each section.
5.1 MAT 2024 New Vs Old Exam Pattern
Earlier MAT exam had 200 questions which are now reduced to 150. The 5th section which was earlier known as Indian and Global Environment has been renamed with change of contents as Economic & Business Environment section
Important Note: Merit Score in the exam is calculated on the basis of first 4 sections only, and the score of Economic & Business Environment is separately shown but is not taken into account to calculate the merit or percentile in the score card.
5.2 Unique MAT Scoring Pattern
MAT scoring pattern is unique. The score card displays scaled score out of 600 Marks and not out of 150 raw scores. While each correct answer is awarded +1 Mark, each wrong answer is penalized with negative marking of -0.25 mark. Merit Score is calculated on the basis of 4 sections only and the score of Indian & Global Environment is separately shown but is not taken into account to calculate the merit or percentile in the score card.

STEP 1: Select MAT Test Mode: You shall be given an option of selecting at least one and maximum of two test modes in Step 1 of the application form. Select from CBT or PBT Exam options.
STEP 2: Upload Your Photo and Signature: Photograph must be a recent passport size color photo. The photo image file should only be in .jpg or .jpeg format. Size of file should not be less than 10KB and more than 50KB.
