You can view and download CAT exam admit card from official CAT website in 5 simple steps. While two steps are suffice to download your admit card, the three steps are related to the use of your CAT login ID, checking details and taking print of the admit card.

No hardcopy of the Hall ticket will be sent to you. You need to use your CAT login ID to download your Hall Ticket from official CAT website. Last date for Admit card Download is CAT 2024 exam date. But before you proceed to download your Hall ticket, check the things you need for the download. 

2.1 Things you need to Download CAT Admit Card 2024

To avoid the technical glitches caused by the rush of more than 3 lakh candidates who download their admit card simultaneously, you should download your Hall Ticket immediately after it is released by IIMs on CAT website.  Make sure you have with you following 3 most important things:

1. The Computer/Laptop equipped with internet browsers - Internet Explorer (version 11 and above) or Mozilla Firefox (version 50 to 61) or Google Chrome (version 50 to 69) 
2. Your CAT 2024 Login ID & Password
3. Printer to Print your admit Card or Pen drive to save the downloaded admit card and to take print later

2.5 Process to Follow to Download CAT Admit card 2024 on CAT website

You can download your CAT 2024 Admit card in following simple steps:

1. Logon to CAT official Website
2. Enter CAT Login ID & Password
3. Click on ‘Admit Card’. It will lead to new page with Exam Centre and test Slot Details
4. Click on PDF file 'Admit card', your admit card is downloaded now
5. Check Details and Take Print of CAT Admit card

2.5.1 Step-1: Logon to Official CAT Website iimcat.ac.in

Open your computer system and check whether the CAT site is getting opened or there are technical glitches. Check for the icon ‘Login’ on the screen and click on it

2.5.2 Step-2: Enter CAT Login ID & Password

Enter your 7 digit CAT user Id and the 7 digit CAT password. This will lead to Admit Card page. In case you forget your CAT password, do not worry, click on ‘forget password’ and IIMs will send your CAT login ID and password to your registered Mail ID for CAT exam 

2.5.3 Step-3: Click on ‘Admit Card’ Link

You are at the Admit card link. Click on it and it will open the page with the details of your CAT exam centre and CAT exam slot – Morning or afternoon. Check Previous year link below

2.5.4 Step-4: Click on ‘Admit card’ Pdf in Right hand corner

At the opened page click on the pdf file Admit card is displayed on the right hand corner. To get your Admit Card downloaded, click on it. It completes the Admit card Download process. Check last year process below

2.5.5 Step-5: Take Print of CAT Admit Card

After downloading the Admit card in your pen drive, take at least 2 prints of the same on A4 size paper and affix your identical photo graph on the hard copy of the CAT Admit card. 

2.6  Save Your Admit Card after Download

After your Admit Card is downloaded error free, save the document in the folder that you can remember – for example a document can be created with the name ‘CAT 2024 Admit Card’. Verify all your personal details, your printed photograph, signature image, Date of Birth, CAT registration Number, as it will be required to locate your testing room and seat in the testing lab, test venue, exam date and time as well as the reporting time at the CAT Exam centre.  Take at least 2 prints of the admit card on A4 size paper as you will need the hard copy of the admit card with your photo additionally affixed on it at the CAT exam centre on CAT exam date.  

• CAT 2024 Admit Card is the mandatory and most important document to appear in the CAT exam.
• Without the hard copy of your admit card with your photo affixed on it, you will not be allowed to enter the CAT test centre on CAT day.
• Please note that the Admit card will be  available for download from CAT official website iimcat.ac.in with all the important dos’ & don’ts for CAT exam day
• Must Take clear Print of CAT Admit Card on A4 Size paper
• Produce the hard copy of your Admit Card with your photo affixed on it at Exam Centre
• Keep one original photo id also for verification at the exam centre
• Don’t carry any stationery, Mobile, digital/electronic watch, etc. on exam day
• Don’t wear jackets, shoes, jewellery, coats/overcoats on exam day 

You need to check the following mandatory details in your Admit card when you download it from CAT website

• Your Name: Name should be as entered in the registration/application form of CAT 2024
• Test date: Your Date of CAT 2024 exam
• Test Time: Slot of exam (Morning or evening) with time of CAT exam and reporting time at test centre should be mentioned in CAT Admit Card  
• CAT registration number should be available in the Admit Card
• PWD status – In case the candidate is physically challenged, it must be mentioned in the Admit Card else the benefit of reservation will not be there.
• Test center Details- Your test city, test site with address should be mentioned

If you find any mistake in the admit card in your personal details like Your Name, Test date, Venue, CAT registration number, PWD status, Test center Details; please immediately contact the CAT exam centre at IIM Ahmedabad by mail or over phone for rectification  

• CAT Exam 2024, like last year, will be conducted in three slots of 2 hours each - a) Morning - 8:30AM–10:30 AM; b) Afternoon - 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM; c) Evening - 4.30PM - 6.30PM,  depending upon the Covid pandemic situation
• Candidates should locate their CAT 2024 test centres in advance and start early in order to reach their test centres on time
• Go through the test day video uploaded in the CAT website to familiarize with the security and other exam day procedures   

7.1 Important Do's for Exam Day

• Same photograph as appears on Admit card to be affixed on hard copy of Admit Card
• CAT 2024 Admit card and one original photo ID proof required to take CAT exam
• Report 90 minutes before at the CAT testing venue
• Test system number applicable only to identify the floor/wing and the seating place on the CAT exam day 

7.2 Important Don'ts for the exam day:

Instructions on admit card make it clear not to carry any of the following articles to the CAT exam centre:

• No Jewellery allowed inside the CAT testing room
• No shoes allowed inside the testing room
• Pen, Pencil, sharpener, watch, Mobile phones etc. not allowed
• No break during the test duration of 3 hours
• No documents except Admit card and photo ID allowed 

CAT Exam 2024 Admit Card is the passport to your CAT Exam as without carrying it, you will not be allowed to enter the CAT exam centre on CAT exam day. Your Admit card download process, therefore is the most important activity on its day of release. Besides, in this pandemic situation and in case of curfew or lockdown in your area. you will be allowed to use your Admit card as Covid-19 pass while reaching your exam center.

You must carry the hard copy of your admit card with photo affixed on it, to CAT exam center otherwise you will not be allowed to enter the test center. Admit Card is a mandatory document for taking the CAT 2024 examination. You must follow the instructions provided in the Admit Card before coming for the examination. The photograph affixed on the hard copy of the Admit Card must be the same as the one uploaded at the time of registration.    

8.1 CAT Admit Card 2024: Important Points to Remember 

Admit Card 2024 download is available from the date of its release. Following are the important things to note about the release and download of the Admit Card:

• Download only from CAT official website: You need to download the admit card 2024 from the official CAT exam website iimcat.ac.in. 
• Only Successfully Registered Candidates can Download: Your admit card will appear after login on IIM CAT website only if your online application form has been submitted successfully by the last date to apply for CAT. 
• Check Automated Mail Confirmation from CAT Centre 2024: Please check that you have received an automated email confirmation upon successful submission of CAT application form alongwith the payment of CAT exam fee. 
• Use CAT 2024 Login ID & PW: Login to the CAT website using your registered User ID and view/print the Admit Card.     
• Use High Speed Internet: To avoid any technical glitches and to quickly download the Admit Card when it is enabled, it is advised to login with a high speed internet computer.
• Take Print on A4 Size White Paper: After completing the Admit Card download process, you must take print of the admit card on A4 size white bond paper or the similar quality paper. 
• Admit Card Download Available till CAT Exam Date: According to the release by IIMs, "After submission of the application, candidates will be permitted to download their examination admit card, till the date of the test."  
• Check your CAT candidature: Please also note that your CAT candidature is subject to having paid the applicable CAT Test Fees and fulfilled the eligibility criteria of Academic qualification, Category, PwD status etc., as has been mentioned in the Application submitted. These details would be verified in the subsequent stages of the Selection process.

8.2 No Admit card is issued, if not eligible
The candidate will be eligible for an Admit Card only upon submission of online application form. The candidate should have received an automated email confirmation upon successful submission. 

8.3 No hard copy of Admit card by IIMs
The admit card will be only available on the CAT Website when you log on using your CAT 2024 User ID. No hard copy of CAT 2024 Admit card will be sent to you. 

Immediately after the CAT Admit card release you must download your admit card from the CAT website by login with your CAT ID and password

9.1 Why to Download the Hall Ticket Early?

• Early Download of CAT Admit Card helps you avoid technical glitches due to heavy rush on CAT website
• After its release by IIMs, thousands of the candidates login to CAT website to download their Admit card which makes the server go very slow or it does not respond. So, either download your Admit Card immediately when it is released or after a few hours

Both CAT Admit Card 2024 and CAT Hall Ticket 2024 refer to one and same document. So, don’t get confused

Q.2. What to do if I don’t receive my Admit Card?
A. There could be one of the three reasons for not receiving the CAT 2024 Admit Card - Due to incomplete or erroneous registrations done earlier; Registration was done multiple times or the Payment of CAT 2024 Registration fee has remained unsuccessful.
You should first check that you had received the message of successful submission of your CAT application form. Please note that CAT Centre 2024 may not issue the CAT admit card for the registrations which are not valid or faulty or if the candidate has registered multiple times.

A. No, you need to download the Admit Card from CAT exam website by using your CAT 2024 ID and Password. 

Q.4 How can I correct errors in my CAT Admit Card?
A. In case the Admit Card contains errors, it could be due to the wrong filling up of application form as the information on CAT admit card is taken from your application form.
