XAT Admit card 2018: 10 check points to ensure your candidature; out on December 27

XAT Admit card 2018 delayed: Will be released soon
​XAT Hall ticket 2018 was to be released by XLRI by 6PM on December 27, 2017. This message was also running on XAT 2018 website. However, it appears that due to technical reasons the XAT Admit Card could not be made available for download by XLRI. Since this will be the first online XAT exam, and a good increase in registration number which has reached 92000 for XAT 2018 must be the main reasons behind the short delay in XAT Admit card. XAT 2018 aspirants are advised to have patience as the Admit card will be out soon after due checking and verification at XLRI end. 

XAT Admit card 2018 will be released by XLRI on December 27 now with the details that you need to check to ensure your candidature and eligibility for XLRI, SPJIMR and other top B-schools. Earlier the XAT 2018 Admit card was to be released on December 20, 2017.

XAT 2018 on January 7, 2018 is the first online computer based exam in the history of XAT, conducted by XLRI for the past more than 60 years. It will be held as a single session exam of 3 hours 35 minutes duration leading to admission in XLRI, SPJIMR, IMT, XIMB, TAPMI, GIM, Great Lakes, LIBA, BIMTECH and 145 other B-schools. So missing or anything wrongly mentioned in the XAT Admit card may bleak your chances on admission in top B-schools.

There is no facility to send your XAT Admit card in hard copy and unless otherwise notified, the facility to download XAT 2018 Admit card is to close on December 31, 2017. So ensure to take all the steps and follow all the checks that each and everything is correctly mentioned in your XAT 2018 Admit card.

1. XAT Admit card: Checks very important now
One week delay in release of XAT Admit card has already narrowed down the gap between the XAT Admit card date and XAT 2018 exam date which is on January 7, from 18 days to 11 days. So in case of any discrepancy in the details in your XAT 2018 Admit card, you are left with very short time to get it rectified.

Since the XAT Admit card will be released on XAT 2018 website and no hard copy of the same will be sent to you, it is very important that you should not only know the right process how to view and download the XAT 2018 Admit card, but should immediately report the anomaly, if you find any, in your personal details in XAT Admit card. 

2. Only 4 days available to download the XAT Admit card: Don’t delay
XLRI has clarified that it will make available the XAT 2018 admit cards for download on the XAT 2018 exam website with effect from December 27, 2017. XAT 2018 aspirants can download their respective admit card after login with XAT registered Id and password.

The facility to download the XAT 2018 admit Card is to close on December 31, 2017 unless there is explicit announcement by XLRI to extend the admit card download date upto exam day.  

3. Follow the correct process to get XAT Admit card
There will be a separate icon on XAT 2018 site with the title ‘Download Admit Card’ with a flashing sign ‘new’. XAT 2018 aspirant is required to click on it and it will direct you to the XAT Admit card page.  You will have to login with you XAT registration ID and password to view and download the XAT 2018 Admit Card.

4. No Admit card on your mail id
Please note that your XAT 2018 Admit card will neither be sent on your mail nor any hard copy of the same will be sent to you. XLRI Jamshedpur, the XAT 2018 conducting B-school has clarified that the admit card will only be available on the XAT Website when you log on using your XAT 2018 User ID.   

5. Check all details in XAT admit card
You must check all the details meticulously in XAT Admit Card 2018 as under:

• Your XAT Registration number
• Your name, date of birth, as you entered at the time of XAT application submission
• Name & Address of allotted exam centre, time & date of XAT 2018 exam
• Important exam day instructions for XAT 2018 exam. 
• Required documents at exam centre like your photo id proof in original, affixing photo on XAT Admit card among others. Please read the instructions given on the XAT 2018 Admit card carefully and carry only the required documents to the exam centre.
• It will be better in your own interest to visit the XAT exam venue one day before and understand how to reach there, time consumed in travelling and other details to avoid last minute panic on the exam day.

6. Logon with XAT 2018 Registered user id, not mail id
Please remember not to logon with your mail id but to log on to XAT 2018 site with your XAT 2018 registered user id and password to get the XAT admit card. Once you are able to view it and are satisfied that all the information contained in it is correct, download and save it in a folder.

7. Take 2 prints of XAT Admit Card
It will be better to take 2 prints of your XAT 2018 admit card. Keep one with your other mandatory documents which you will have to carry to the exam centre and other with you so that in case of any query you may instantly refer to it.

8. Must carry XAT Admit Card on exam day
Please note that XAT 2018 Admit Card is a mandatory document and is required to appear in the exam. You must bring a print out of your Admit Card to the exam centre with your photo fixed on it in the given space.

9. If  XAT Admit Card is not received or you forget the password
If you have registered and paid for XAT 2018, received the registration confirmation, your admit card is released by XLRI. You should check that you are using correct XAT registered password. If you have forgot your XAT login password, please go to the XAT Log in page and click on 'Forgot Password' to get your password.

If still you do not receive the XAT 2018 Admit Card on December 27 despite login with your XAT 2018 registered ID and Password, please immediately write to [email protected] citing the details like registered XAT 2018 ID. You may also call XAT 2018 helpline over telephone between 9AM to 8PM to get the issue resolved.

10. Don’t carry forbidden items
Since XAT 2018 is an online exam, you should not carry any prohibited stationery items mentioned in your XAT Admit card. Apart from this, calculators, electronic watches, any other digital or electronic devices are not allowed inside the testing room on XAT exam day.     

XLRI has already announced that the level of difficulty of the questions has also been carefully designed. In order to enable students to attempt as many questions as possible and encourage them to demonstrate all-round skills, the difficulty level of the questions has been brought down in XAT.

XAT 2018 will be conducted from 47 centers all across India and 2 international cities of Dubai and Kathmandu.
