Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is one of the most popular National level MBA entrance exams in India. MAT is conducted four times in a year in February, May, August and December. More than 200 MBA/PGDM Colleges are accepting MAT Scores for Admission 2025. MAT is an easier exam than CAT or XAT exams. Total duration of MAT exam is 2 hours (120 mins). The exam has five sections but MAT percentile calculation is based on the scores of four sections, while the score of fifth (Economic & Business Environment) section is separately shown and is not counted for percentile calculation.

MAT 2025 Eligibility requirements are as follows:

• Academic Requirement: Candidate should have completed minimum 3 Years Bachelor’s Degree or should be in the Final Year of Bachelor’s Degree. 
• Age Requirement: There is no age restriction or marks requirement. 

MAT 2025 Scoring Pattern
MAT 2025 scoring pattern is unique. The score card displays scaled score out of 600 Marks and not out of 150 raw scores. While each correct answer is awarded +1 Mark, each wrong answer is penalized with negative marking of -0.25 mark. Merit Score is calculated on the basis of 4 sections only and the score of Indian & Global Environment is separately shown but is not taken into account to calculate the merit or percentile in the score card.

MAT 2025 Exam Pattern consists of five sections of 30 questions each. Total exam duration is 120 mins.

Step 1 Understand MAT Exam Pattern: MAT Exam is divided into 5 key sections namely Language Comprehension, Mathematical skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Economic & Business Environment with 30 questions in each section. Although Economic & Business Environment section carries 40 marks, it is not taken into consideration to determine candidate’s MAT score and percentile. MAT 2025 Exam Registration Fees
