102 B-schools want to close down, many more asking for seat reduction: AICTE Chairman Dr Sahasrabudhe at EPSI Conclave

The shakeout and consolidation continue in India’s highly fragmented management education market. While hundreds of B-schools have closed down in the past 5 years, many more still want to follow suit. Further, many B-schools are also reducing their capacity. Only institutions that are offering relevant and quality education will survive. This is the key message coming from AICTE Chairman Dr Anil Sahasrabudhe, who spoke at the EPSI Conclave in Delhi on August 21.

CMAT 2018 Notification, Dates to be out soon after meeting on Oct 6 & 7: AICTE Chairman tells

Here is some good news for MBA aspirants! CMAT 2018 Notification announcing CMAT Dates and Registration process will be released shortly by AICTE. Sharing the information with last evening, AICTE Chairman Dr Anil Saharsabudhe said, “CMAT (and GPAT) Advisory Committee Meeting is scheduled on October 6 & 7, 2017. Immediately after this meeting, Notification regarding CMAT 2018 (and GPAT 2018) will be released.” So get ready to register for CMAT 2018.

There have also been apprehensions about the nature of “model” MBA/PGDM Curriculum that the recently appointed AICTE committee will recommend. At the 8th Indian Management Conclave (IMC) 2017, on August 4-5 AICTE Chairman, and Heads of Board of Management Studies and MBA Curriculum Committee announced the blueprint of the 3-Tier categorization for graded autonomy and the framework for new MBA and PGDM curriculum.

IMC 2017 kick starts at IIM Lucknow –Noida campus on the theme 'Curriculum for New Era’

India’s biggest management conclave IMC 2017, organized by and hosted by IIM Lucknow at its Noida campus has taken a grand start today on August 4, 2017 on the theme ' Curriculum for New Era’.
