Dr B S Sahay to take over as new director of MDI Gurgaon
Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon is going to appoint Prof. Bidya S Sahay, who is currently serving as Director at IMT Ghaziabad, as its new director. Prof. Sahay will take charge of the MDI directors office in April 2009.
Prof. B S Sahay will take over from the Prof. C V Baxi, Acting Director, MDI Gurgaon. This announcement was made at the MDIs Annual Convocation 2009 on March 18 by Mr. N K Singh, Chairman of the Board of Governers of MDI, Gurgaon.
Said Mr N K Singh, MDI will have the new Director in Dr B S Sahay. He will be taking over the charge soon.
Prior to joining IMT Ghaziabad, Prof. B S Sahay was Dean (Research & Consultancy) and Professor of Operations Management at Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon. He was also an Adjunct Professor at School of International Business, Queensland University of Technology, Australia and Founding Chairman of Centre for Supply Chain Management.
Prof. Sahay did his B. Tech. from BIT Sindri, M.Tech. and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. He has over 25 years of experience in teaching, research, consultancy, executive training, and industries. His teaching, research and consulting interests include logistics and supply chain management, production and operations management, project management, productivity management and business modeling.
He has published several books including Productivity Management- A Systems Approach (Narosa), World-Class Manufacturing: A Strategic Perspective (Macmillan), Indian Supply Chain Architecture (Macmillan), Supply Chain Modelling & Solutions (Macmillan), Supply Chain Management for Global Competitiveness (Macmillan), Supply Chain Management in the Twenty-First Century (Macmillan) and Emerging Issues in Supply Chain Management (Macmillan).
