To ensure a hassle-free exam experience for MBA aspirants, IIM Lucknow has released a dress code for boys and girls to follow for CAT Exam Day. IIM L has also given a list of items to carry, and not to carry. Any breach in following the CAT Day dress code and guidelines may cost the candidates denial of entry to the test centre. CAT 2023 exam is on Sunday November 26 in 3 slots. IIMs have issued specific dress code guide for the 3.30 lakh CAT aspirants who have registered to appear in CAT 2023 in a single day. CAT Day Dress Code & Things to Carry: CAT 2023 Exam Day Guidelines from IIML
- Girls should not wear Jewellery or Metal Accessories
- Girls should not apply Hena (Mehndi) on Palm side
- No Shoes are allowed with thick soles inside the test centre
- Only Socks, plain pullovers, sweaters, cardigans that do not have any pockets are allowed in the testing lab
- No Jackets, Coats with pockets are allowed
- Candidates will not be allowed to wear garments with large buttons inside the CAT exam centre.
- No electronic gadgets are allowed like mobile phones, watches, calculators
- No wallet, goggles should be carried to the CAT test centre
- Candidates will undergo a frisking process. Only CAT admit card, photo identity card, required medical certificate(s) and scribe affidavit (if any) would be permitted beyond the frisking point.
- If any candidate is using metal implant, pacemaker, he/she will have to bring a supporting medical certificate of the same to the test centre.

Your testing room strategy is very important and you must be aware how your CAT 2023 exam will begin, how you should answer the MCQs and non-MCQs in testing lab and what events will take place immediately before, during and after the CAT 2023 exam.
It will be better to make prior necessary arrangements for travel, food, accommodation and any other expenses. Use the Google map link embedded on the electronic version of the Admit card to locate the Test Centre. Identify mode of transport and commute time at least a day before the Exam Day in order to reach the Test Centre on time on the day of the Exam
