National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued CMAT 2023 official exam day instructions for Candidates for May 4, 2023 for morning and afternoon shifts. The CMAT exam day advisory for CMAT 2023 by NTA share the important Do’s and Don’ts including the instructions and the guidelines to follow from the time of entering the CMAT exam centre to leaving the testing hall. National testing Agency has issued important CMAT 2023 official Exam Day Instructions along with the Exam Day Guidelines for the candidates appearing in CMAT 2023 on May 4, 2023. The Do’s and Don’ts for the CMAT Exam Day as shared by NTA restrict the candidates from wearing electronic watches or carrying the mobile phone, bag, wallets, electronic gadgets, stationary items inside the testing hall.

Good score in CMAT 2023 is the passport to MBA/PGDM admission in AICTE approved management colleges. CMAT 2023 is being conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of AICTE on May 4, 2023 in two shifts for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes in 1000 B schools in the country.

If you have not scored well in CAT 2022 or XAT 2023, the CMAT 2023 is the answer to your MBA admission in a good AICTE approved MBA college.

1. Check Your CMAT 2023 Exam Slot & Reporting Time
Before proceeding to exam centre, you should check your CMAT exam slot and time. NTA is conducting CMAT-2023 Examination as per following schedule:

2. Do’s for May 3, 2023

  • Download your Admit Card from the NTA’s website cmat.nta.nic.in with your CMAT application number and password or Application number and Date of birth.  Read More How to Download Admit card
  • Visit the Examination Centre on May 3, 2023, a day before the examination
  • Familiarize yourself with the location and means of reaching the venue of the Test on time

2.1 Check Details as indicated on the Admit Card:

  • Reporting Time at Centre
  • Gate Closing time of Centre 
  • Date of Examination 
  • Test Timings 
  • Venue of Test 

3. Important Do’s for CMAT Exam Day-May 4: The Documents & Articles You Must Carry
You are required to Carry with you following items to CMAT Exam Center:

  • Admit Card on a clear colour printout on A4 size paper
  • One Passport size photograph (same as uploaded with the Online Application Form) to be pasted on the Attendance Sheet at the Centre
  • A valid Photo ID Proof in ORIGINAL (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/E- Aadhaar/Ration Card/ Bank Passbook with Photograph). 
  • Please note that ID Cards issued by Schools/ Colleges/ Universities/ Coaching Centres, AADHAR enrollment receipt without AADHAR NUMBER and PHOTOCOPIES OR Images Stored in mobile phones etc will NOT be accepted
  • No Candidate would be allowed to enter the Examination Centre, without identity verification
  • PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category. 
  • Reach the venue of the Test at the Reporting Time mentioned in the Admit Card. If you report beyond the Gate Closing time of Centre, you will not be allowed to enter in the Test venue. 
  • A simple transparent Ball Point Pen
  • Additional photograph, to be pasted on Attendance Sheet
  • Personal hand sanitizer (50 ml)
  • Personal transparent water bottle
  • Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic

4. Key Don’ts for CMAT Exam Day: Avoid to Carry the following

  • Candidates are NOT allowed to carry Instrument/ Geometry/ Pencil box, Handbag, Purse, any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material)
  • No Eatables and Water (loose or packed) are allowed
  • No Mobile Phone/ Ear Phone/ Microphone/ Pager, Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, to wear/carry any type of watch including Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room 
  • There may not be any provision for safe keeping of valuables at the Test Centre.  

5. Inside the CMAT Examination Hall: NTA Guidelines to Effectively Take the Exam
Below are the important testing hall instructions and guidelines as issued by NTA for CMAT 2023 test takers

  • Pen/ Pencil and blank paper sheets for rough work will be provided in the examination Hall/Room. 
  • Write Your name and Roll Number at the top of the sheet and must return the sheets and Admit Card to the Invigilator, before leaving the examination Hall/Room.
  • Enter required details in the Attendance Sheet in legible handwriting
  • Put your signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression and paste the Photograph at the appropriate place. Ensure that Your Left Hand Thumb Impression is clear and not smudged. 
  • No Candidate should adopt any unfair means or indulge in any unfair examination practices. The candidature of candidates in case of impersonation will be automatically cancelled without any

Important Points to Note for CMAT Exam Day

  • CMAT 2023 test duration is for a total time of 3 hours.
  • All candidates will start the test at the same time when the invigilator signals to start.
  • Candidates are to remain at their seats for the entire duration of the test even if they complete their test early.
  • There is no sectional time constraint. Candidates can move among the 5 sections of the exam during the 3 hours time
  • For any issues during the test, you are supposed to raise your hand to notify the invigilator.
  • Stay seated and explain the issue to the invigilator who approaches you. Under no circumstance, should you move from your seat until the end of exam time.
