Dr Atish Chattopadhyay set to rejoin IMT Ghaziabad as Director
Dr Atish Chattopadhyay, former Deputy Director of SPJIMR Mumbai and Dean of MICA, is all set to rejoin IMT Ghaziabad as Director. Dr Chattopadhyay will also oversee the integration of IMT's Dubai campus with IMT Ghaziabad. Dr Chattopadhyay had earlier served as the Director of IMT Ghaziabad from April 2016 to May 2018.
A well-known academic leader with significant global engagements, Dr. Chattopadhyay returns to IMT Ghaziabad after leadership roles at several prestigious institutions. He is expected to join IMT Ghaziabad in February 2025.
At SPJIMR, between 2007-2015, Dr Chattopadhyay served as Professor of Marketing and Deputy Director where he successfully led the flagship two-year PGDM Program of SPJIMR for over five years. He was instrumental in improving enrollments, placements, international relations, and alumni engagement outcomes. At MICA, in 2015-16, Dr Chattopadhyay served as its Dean where he restructured the admission process and initiated a student driven placement process.
From 2018 till 2024, During his tenure at JAGSoM and Vijaybhoomi University, Dr Chattopadhyay led the transformation and rebranding of JAGSoM Bangaluru. As the Founding Vice Chancellor of Vijaybhoomi University, he introduced liberal-professional curriculum framework based on the multiple-intelligence model.

Dr Chattopadhyay also has significant engagements in global management education. He volunteers as a mentor and PRT member for AACSB. He is also a founding member of EFMD Indian Business Council.
