IIM Mumbai Final Placements 2025 Update: Phase 1 Completed; Accenture Hires 41 MBAs, Microsoft Offers Rs 54 lakh Package; Check Total Offers, Average Salary

After a dull Placement season last year, all eyes are on Final Placements 2025. Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has concluded the phase one of campus placement by early December with a total of 373 offers from 78 companies. Top Recruiters at IIM Mumbai Placements 2025 
Microsoft has offered the highest package at IIM Mumbai while Accenture has emerged as the biggest recruiter. Microsoft has made the highest annual salary offer of Rs 54 lakh. Accenture has emerged as the biggest recruiter in this phase with 41 offers. Other companies that offered large number of offers are Blinkit (14) PwC US Advisory (10) and Wipro (9). About 20 new recruiters has visited IIM Mumbai this year.

Brand IIM Mumbai Sees Placement Boost 
IIM Mumbai, erstwhile NITIE, saw a considerable boost in its placements last year, when it received the prestigious status of IIM. Last year, in IIM Mumbai Final Placements 2024, the Average Salary was Rs 31.00 LPA. The boost in IIM Mumbai placements seems to be continuing for the second year, although 100% placements are still to be completed. 

Speaking on the placements trends, Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari, Director, IIM Mumbai, said, “IIM Mumbai is known in the industry for its unique tech-driven perspective of management education. While we are pioneers in supply-chain management, after the IIM status we are attracting recruiters from the Finance sector too.”

IIM Mumbai Final Placements 2025 stats are as follows: 

  • Average salary for the top 10 per cent of the batch is Rs 48 lakh per annum (LPA) 
  • Average salary for the top 20 percent of the batch it is Rs.43.5LPA. 
  • Average salary for the top 50 percent of the batch is Rs 35 LPA.

IIM Mumbai Summer Placements 2025
IIM Mumbai also reported successful completion of summer placements. A total 128 companies participated for summer placements and 425 students were placed with average stipend offered at Rs 3.0 lakh for 2 months internship. Coco Cola has offered the highest stipend at Rs 5.0 Lakhs. Accenture Strategy & Consulting was the biggest recruiter with 37 offers. Whereas other companies offering multiple jobs on campus include Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (14), Amazon (13) and ITC (11).
IIM Mumbai is ranked 6th among B-Schools of India as per NIRF 2024 rankings. NITIE was established by the Government of India in 1963. Noted industrialists Anand Mahindra and Deepak Parekh had suggested, in 2007, the change in name of NITIE to an IIM, Mumbai. For several years no step was taken, but in January 2022, the Ministry of Education (India) constituted a committee of experts to deliberate on the feasibility. A significant milestone was achieved by NITIE Mumbai on 12 July 2023 when the Union Cabinet approved the amendment in the IIM Act, designating NITIE Mumbai as the 21st IIM and renaming it as IIM Mumbai.

IIM Mumbai Placements 2024 
Average Salary Up by 11% at Rs.31 LPA

The 21st IIM in India, IIM Mumbai completed 100% placements 2024 in January 2024. Earlier known as NITIE Mumbai, IIM Mumbai has registered higher average salary at Rs. 31 LPA than Rs. 27.75 LPA last year while the highest salary has gone down to Rs.54 LPA from Rs.78.20 LPA last year. Out of 446 students, 170 were offered PPOs. Consulting emerged as the top recruiting sector with 18% share in Placements. Accenture, Deloitte, EY, GEP, Kearney, KPMG, Mckinsey, PwC are among the top recruiters.

Ranked 7th best Management Institute by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2023, IIM Mumbai has consistently witnessed high placement packages over the years.
