MICAT 2019 Exam Dates Announced: MICAT-1 on December 2; Application Process Open till Nov 20

MICAT 2019 Exam Dates have been announced for admission to PGDM-C 2019-21 batch at MICA Ahmedabad. MICA will conduct two MICAT exams for admission and better of the two scores will be considered. The MICAT-1 exam for admission to PGDM-C 2019-21 batch will be held on December 02, 2018 as a computer based test. The MICAT-I application fee is Rs.1985/- inclusive of GST.

MICA, Ahmedabad has opened the MICAT-1 Registration process on August 23, 2018 and will close it on November 20. Candidates have to apply for the MICAT-1 and MICAT-II separately. While MICAT-I will be held on December 2, 2018, the MICAT-II will be held on February 9, 2019.

Apart from appearing in CAT 2018, XAT 2019 or GMAT 2017 onwards, the candidates applying for admission to PGDM-C programme at MICA will have to appear in MICAT-I to be held on December 02, 2018 or MICAT-II to be held on February 9, 2019. MICAT commands 50% weightage in shortlisting at MICA, while 50% weight goes to CAT/XAT/GMAT score.

MICAT: Computer Based Test
MICAT 2019 will be a multidimensional computer based examination, which will assess candidates in areas such as Divergent Thinking Abilities, Written Communication Abilities, General Awareness about contemporary social and business issues, including areas relevant to media, marketing, advertising & current affairs and Analytical & Verbal Abilities.
The Admission test also includes psychometric profiling to assess the candidates leadership potential.

Admission criteria

• The admission process for PGDM-C 2019-21 intake sees following 4 major changes in terms of selection cycle, eligibility exams, aptitude test format and Group Exercise & Personal Interview (GE&PI) centres.
• The selection process for PGDM-C 2019-21 to happen twice.
• Candidates will have to take at least one of the three eligibility exams: CAT 2018, XAT 2019 and GMAT (2017 onwards).
• MICAT will be held only in the computer based format.
• GE-PI for successful candidates in MICAT to be held in March 2019

MICAT Registration Fee: How to pay
A registration fee of Rs.1985/- has to be paid to apply for MICAT-I. The Fee can be paid online or through DD. There has been the provision to pay the MICAT Fee in Cash as well as by DD.

MICA: Eligibility Criteria
A MICA aspirant will need a Bachelors degree (in keeping with the 10 + 2 + 3 system) or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to register and apply for flagship PGDM-C at MICA. Candidates appearing for final examinations towards a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply.

The two-year, full-time, residential programme is AICTE approved and is deemed equivalent to an MBA by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
